Lovely tapas

Really enjoyed the tapas dinner here. Great selection of options (unfortunately not the same ones that are on their website currently though!)

Great brunch

Great brunch because they put effort in their vegan breakfast, not just classic fake bacon, fake sausage, canned beans but so much better. I loved the tofu scramble, tempura aubergine fries and the crispy potatoes were especially amazing! A really nice plate with lots going on and filling!
The vegan pancakes change seasonally, with pear crumble the one at the time, small and delicate portion, but said to have enjoyed!
Everything is clearly labelled and the restaurant itself is brilliant, with plants everywhere! Staff were friendly and they do a great hot chocolate!

So much to love, but one big error

Love the place, the atmosphere and 2 out of the 3 waiting staff were great! The issue was that on my vegan breakfast, about half the plate was deep fried aubergines. For me, it doesn’t sit well on a full breakfast plate, but there was so much of it! I didn’t like it either! But that half of the plate could have gone to more toast/another sausage or mushroom etc. what you can’t see from the photo is how high they were piled up. It’s rare I don’t finish, but I could finish that. A shame, because everything else was very very good, and overall I’m very pleased we went.

Pros: Vibe, Staff, Options

Cons: Why the deep fried aubergine and why so much of it

Lovely evening!

Worth the taxi ride from our central hotel! Great for a mixed group - 2 vegans with 2 occasional meat eaters. They shared a chicken small plate and the rest was vegan.

We had 7 dishes between us, all delicious. Then one vegan dessert (lemon posset) and one carrot cake to finish & we were all full. With a cocktail each it was £32 per head inc 12.5% tip that was automatically added.

Pros: House plant HEAVEN!, Lovely staff, Even the sprouts were tasty 😋

In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, Baby

A fairly innocuous building on the outside, like the Amazon rainforest on the inside. A wonderful dining experience. We were there in the evening and had the small plates menu, so all had a couple of dishes each, which was just about right.
Some of the pork and chicken dishes may deter hardcore vegans from visiting, but there are plenty of vegan friendly options that are rich, tasty and inventive.
It's a little off the beaten track and you have to travel out of the town centre quite a way to find it. Prices are also above what you might be expecting for the location, especially if you are having two or more of the small plates, but when they arrive you understand why.
Service is good but bear in mind the dishes as arrive as they are ready, some in your party might still be waiting as others are tucking in.

Pros: Plenty of options, Dining in a jungle, The food is really good

Beautiful setting, great food

Both the daytime and evening menu are delicious with plenty of veggie and vegan options (and cakes too!) and the interior of the place is so beautiful, ceiling to floor plants create such a nice atmosphere. As others have mentioned there can be long queues at the weekend but it’s worth the wait.

Delicious small plates and breakfast

Both their breakfast and evening menus are delicious. Had great meals there and it's set in a lovely spot with all the plants.
Had a few mediocre meals there with aubergine being fried in oil too cold. The rest of the time the aubergine is to die for

Beautiful restaurant

Be prepared for a big queue to be seated. Once you’re in, there’s a lovely vegan English breakfast to choose from, or some alternatives like vegan Arepas.

They don’t let you do any swaps for the vegan breakfast, which is something to look out for as if you ‘swap something’ they’ll charge you extra for the substitute without charging less for the item you removed.

The atmosphere is lovely, they have delicious vegan hot drinks (my favourite is the turmeric/golden milk), and the food is generally good quality.

Great portioned vegan breakfast with some good additional components a lot of vegan breakfasts miss - potatoes and aubergine fritters particularly good!

Absolute Gem

I was glad to finally try The Garden of Easton, having tried previously and not having time to queue. This time, however, there was only one group ahead of us and we were seated shortly after arriving.

The day menu is varied with plenty of different options. I opted for the Tomato Tostadas, which come with the choice of either crispy cauliflower bites (vegan) or halloumi (vegetarian). My husband opted for the The Garden Veggie (Vegetarian cooked breakfast - there is also a vegan version)

There was a short wait for food owing to the busyness of the restaurant, but the food was hot and fresh when it arrived. We also had a couple of coffees, which arrived promptly after ordering.

Although we weren't having drinks, a scan of the menu shows that there is a good choice of local beers. There is also a very tempting cocktail menu which we will certainly be back to try.

Pros: Lots of veggie and vegan options, Fantastic atmosphere & well decorated , Food is great with a varied menu

Cons: No bookings taken in the day and it can get busy, V / VG menu options could be clearer
