Salad was really not great - Edit
I ordered a chef salad with seitan and Italian dressing and it was terrible. I struggled while eating this because it was that bad. I usually don’t order salads, but I do enjoy them and this was just gross.

I was a little sceptical when I saw, Thai food, Mexican food, burgers and pancakes all on the menu, but my chicken sandwich was on point!

A little further from DTLA then other options, but had tasty breakfast options. The process may seem a little inflated but the serving sizes seem pretty substantial.

Food was okay - Edit
Location was nice inside, however the jackfruit burger was okay. For the price you can definitely get a better bbq jackfruit burger.

Yummy vegan breakfast! - Edit
This was my first stop for a vegan meal on my trip to L.A. and it did not disappoint. I loved the breakfast choices they offered! My mom and I both really enjoyed our food, and the staff is so kind. Highly recommend this spot!

Good lunch place! - Edit
The menu and the food was really good and the price as well. Is located a bit further away from downtown but if you are nearby I could recommend a visit but maybe not worth travel a long way for. The food was very tasty and delicious and the portion size was very nice. But sitting inside it’s not very comfortable it could need an upgrade.

Tasty crowd pleaser - Edit
Ordered for delivery. Staying at a nearby hotel in downtown LA, delivery was easy, and the menu option were extremely diverse, which is great for even the pickiest eaters. I tried the yellow curry, tropical pancakes, and the vj fruit smoothie. All were delicious. The curry was packed with veggies and tofu, the pancakes jammed with delicious fruit, and the smoothie was very tropical and pretty thin, which landed it somewhere between juice and smoothie, which could have been a delivery thing, but it only took about ten minutes to get here, so I think that was just the consistency, which I enjoyed. With all the options, I’d definitely eat here again.

Huge menu and good food - Edit
So much menu choice, good hearty food, and very friendly, helpful service. We were a little worried about the walk from downtown because we didn’t know how safe the streets would be (we don’t know LA well) - but it’s fine to walk and an interesting area to see for tourists (the fashion district).

Thumbs up - Edit
Located in a unusual area, I decided to give this place a try for lunch. Service was good, and the food came out quickly but then again I was the only table here,
Read moreI tried their Italian sausage omelette while my friend got the tropical pancakes. Both dishes were really good, and filled me up indefinitely.
I imagine that parking would be a hassle here on the weekends though due to there being very limited street parking but I would come back to try their other dishes if I was in the area again.
Pros: Extensive menu
Cons: Parking

A Little Gem in Downtown - Edit
A little gem in downtown
Read moreIt's not a place one would expect to see a vegan restaurant, but it's here in downtown tucked amongst clothes shops and warehouses. Stopped in for lunch, and here's my Vegan Joint downtown locations review.
The place appears small from the outside, but once you walk in you'll see plenty of tables for seating. It's pretty basic and casual; however the menu is just as extensive as the other Vegan Joint locations.
We got a black bean burger (comes with side of fries) and an order of fresh rolls. Both yummy. The quality is just as good as its other locations.
Truly a gem to have in downtown.
Pros: vegan, friendly and quick, good prices

Pad thai - Edit
I ordered pad thai and asked for spicy but instead it was sweet. The tofu was overcooked and tasted like cardboard and the noodles were very dry.

Great food, amazing selection, some was even quite original. It's a good thing the restaurant we originally wanted to go to wasn't open (:

Big pictures on the walls presented some of the dishes, allowing you to understand what some of the options are. Though they don't show how big the dishes are.

Love it - Edit
I love the yum woon sen and fried chicken sandwich. The yum woon sen is so light and fresh. We also ordered the fish sandwich but I think the fried chicken is way better than the fish. We were stuffed with these 3 dishes. Prices are very reasonable. We walked from downtown to get to this spot and thought it was a strange neighborhood.
