Delicious! - Edit
We ordered butterfly pea milk tea, butterfly pea lemon tea, crispy mushroom bites, yellow curry and the vegan joint bowl. They were all delicious. I especially liked the butterfly pea milk tea. The staff was super nice and friendly!

📍 TVJ Kitchen – Woodland Hills - Edit
This was the first location I ever tried — and I’ve been a fan ever since. It has that cozy, neighborhood feel, and the food? Always on point. Their tropical pancakes are iconic, and the spring rolls are fresh and flavorful. This spot made me a regular.

The vegan joint - Edit
I got the pad Thai, which was a little too sweet for me… if you like sweet, you’ll like it a lot. I also got the spring rolls with rice noodle. They are pretty delicious. They have a big variety on their menu. It’s not my favorite vegan restaurant, but it was good.

Pancakes! What! - Edit
Vegan joint has always been a go-to for friends of mine. I loooove their seasonal pumpkin curry. I went recently with. Friend and had their pancakes. Wasn’t sure how I felt about American style pancakes from an Asian place but was left pleasantly surprised!

A Must Try! - Edit
Venue: The ambience is a good vibe. Great mural paintings on the wall. There’s even a wall dedicated for photo taking. Lots of parking & seating as well. Restroom is always kept clean.
Read moreService: Their customer service is unmatched. Very sweet and attentive. They even remember my previous order whenever I would place an order over the phone.
Food: If you are a fan of curries, this is the spot to try. I typically order the Red Curry and let me just say, it’s the best curry I’ve ever tried. They have a variety of other healthy options as well, including green drinks, Thai Tea, etc.
Price: Food and drinks are reasonably priced. They are very generous with their food serving so you’re definitely getting your money’s worth.
Pros: Food, Service, Cleanliness

Tasteless Wrap - Edit
I had the Garlic Chicken Wrap & some fries. Well, there was nothing garlicky about it! And the sauce Han no flavor whatsoever. The chef needs to learn about seasonings. Herbs and spices are there to enhance and they are naturally plant based! The fries came without salt, so another item with little flavor.

Classic Thai Vegan + American - Edit
From the variety of LA Thai vegan restaurants, The Vegan Joint holds up near the top with a delicious, diverse menu and friendly service. The menu is split with many classic Thai dishes and a variety of western American dishes all prepared to fill your cravings for cruelty free meals. My few critiques is the tofu is served sparingly (a few pieces) on some of the dishes like the pad thai, and few veggies in the yellow curry.
Read moreI highly recommend the Pancakes and Tofu Scramble, Pad Thai, Soy Chickun Sate, Yellow Curry, Chow Mein, Fresh Spring Rolls, Garlic Chickun Wrap and the Lentil Quesadilla.
*update: The french fries have improved immensely and are crispy and delicious. I recommend!

Great food! - Edit
We had a great experience at the Vegan Joint. The staff were extremely friendly and the food was fresh and delicious.
Read moreWe ordered the BBQ Jackfruit Sandwich and the Veggie Fried Rice. Both were super tasty.
We also tried the Butterfly Pea tea and that is not for the weak. A very strong and almost stale taste, but has a ton of health benefits.
The only cons we had were the confusing parking situation (especially when using a gps), the super strong sewage smell that hits you right when you walk in, and the overall decor and identity of the restaurant. There was lots of cluttered, unrelated decorations.
Pros: Super friendly staff , Reasonable prices , Tasty food
Cons: Confusing parking , Strong sewage smell , Identity crisis

Vegan Breakfast All DAY! - Edit
I was craving brunch and we all know sometimes it can be hard to find vegan options in most breakfast places. This place was a pleasant surprise. They had more than just a tofu scramble or breakfast potatoes. They had pancakes, burritos, omelettes, and fresh juices. Parking was easy and there was plenty of sitting inside.

ขอบคุณมาก! 🇹🇭💚🇹🇭💚🇹🇭💚🇹🇭 - Edit
Green curry was rich and full of tofu and veg that I liked, a generous portion, served with brown rice by default and under $13 bucks which is a great deal for a meal in LA. I loved my Thai Tea. The jackfruit BBQ Burger I took home for me mate was smashed in seconds and described thusly: Amazing. Fries were undercooked and I understand some don't like that as they don't travel well, will just ask for extra-crispy next time. Got a little cup of chili powder on the side which fit nicely with my curry.
Read moreI liked that it was quiet and had the place fo myself to use their wifi and make phone calls. I enjoyed the funny character out front writing graffiti on the pole outside the window unable to see me watching through the tinted window. It's a little fun to find, go into the strip mall on the corner from Ventura and then down the ramp to the underground parking and follow the signs. Owner is a super friendly Thai Buddhist from Rayong and happy to see people enjoying vegan food.
Pros: vegan family owned, top green curry w great ingredients, not expensive

Wanted to like it... - Edit
They have a good sized menu and server was nice so I really wanted to like this place but the food was seriously lacking.
Read morePumpkin curry was more like a cream soup. Had very little of anything inside. Sure we asked for no bell peppers but they would have made little difference. Garlic fries tasted ok but they had zero crunch. Wet fries are not my style. Chicken wrap tasted ok but wrap seemed stale.
Sauces were good and server nice.

Went here and got red curry and Thai iced tea, which was definitely tasty. Would like to try more on the menu. Restaurant was a bit quiet and not air conditioned but might not be all the time.
Read moreUpdate 2022: we've tried this a few more times since this first review and most dishes have not been very good, overloaded with giant strips of ginger and just kinda off. Curry and fried tofu are still the best on their menu if you're going.
