Oh my gosh I adore this place so much. We had such a special and homey stay. The animals are precious, the food is amazing, the rooms are cozy and clean. 10/10
I went to The White Pig back in 2000 and loved it then. Recently went back and loved how it has grown. Dina makes the best breakfasts.
I love the animal sanctuary.
Dina went above and beyond for us. Delicious and heart vegan breakfasts with coffee, tea, OJ. Cozy accommodations. And cute animal friends to visit with.
We stayed here a while back. Wonderful vegan oasis. Breakfast was delicious both days. Snacks and cupcakes were provided as well. She knew all the vegan options on the nearby area and had lots to recommend.
Great place to disconnect from tech and connect with compassion - Edit
We loved this stay. The owner, Dina was not only courteous and full of amazing stories of connections with pigs, but also an utterly amazing cook. The first morning we had a grapefruit and strawberry starter. This then was greeted with an onion and broccoli vegan quiche and then some savory and not at all oily roasted potatoes. We opted for lunch and had some amazing vegan turkey sandwiches on what I think was like a farmhouse seeded breaded and some an chips and bananas. She then brought some fresh amazing cookies we regretfully forgot to bring with us as an evening snack. That night we voyaged to Devils Backbone Brewing Company where the veggie burgers were an ok falafel style burger but we would go back. There is such an atmosphere there that you sit around an outdoor firepit with strangers and just feel relaxed. Even employees from a neighboring cidery were amongst the crowd. The next morning we awoke to a fresh peach yogurt and strawberry cup to be followed by almost un-finishably large Belgium waffles covered in fresh fruits. We bought lunch for the drive home there too and went home with some fantastic texture and flavor wise, overflowingly good, vegan chicken salad sandwiches and chips. I highly recommend this get away for anyone who needs to disconnect from outside and reconnect with that special person. The stories and love from the animals and the lack of distractions is grounding.
Visiting the White Pig has been on our bucket list for a while, and it lived up to our hopes! My husband & I enjoyed a much needed break over Memorial Day weekend. Our room was great. The breakfasts were sumptuous & completely vegan. The innkeeper also left delicious vegan cupcakes as well as a select of healthy snacks available & supplied helpful tips regarding where to find other vegan meals in the area. We also enjoyed the chance to wander around the farm to see the many rescued animals. Although I think the B&B was booked for the weekend, the environment was calm & quiet-just what we wanted. We chatted with such nice folks at breakfast each day. Breakfasts were great: a vegan quiche with potatoes & cherry turnover one morning and pancakes with vegan sausage the next. Coffee, tea, juice, & fresh fruit were offered both days. One guest needed gluten-free foods, & was complimentary of his food, as well.
This place is an absolute gem. We stayed at the cloud cottage for our mini-moon and loved every bit. From the adorable cottage, to the fireplace, to the friendly piggies, everything was perfect.
Dina is so friendly and accommodating and her food is incredible. Would recommend this to anyone and everyone but particularly to vegans who want the B&B experience without feeling like you have to settle because of your diet/lifestyle.
This is a must visit for anyone and vegans especially! Tour the sanctuary, meet the pigs, horses, dogs and cats! Delicious vegan breakfast. The cottage is dog friendly. Such a relaxing spot. Nice trail. Hot tub.
I really enjoyed staying here. The cottage and cozy and clean. The service was very lovely and kind. We even got to spend time with the animals there! The vegan breakfast was very very tasty! And I absolutely loved that there was a directory of near-by and favorite vegan restaurant's left in our room. I look forward to staying at the White Pig again!
We had a great time! We spent the week there for our anniversary. The breakfasts were so good, delivered every morning to our door. Each day there were delicious breakfasts like: waffles, pancakes, french toast with side servings of sausage or bacon as well as side dishes like yogurt parfait, grapefruit or fresh fruit salad. So delicious! The grounds were beautiful, fresh and relaxing. We had a lovely quiet, clean little cabin in the woods. Every night we came home to a delicious treat like home baked cupcakes or cookies. There was a large basket full of complimentary snacks. The service was excellent. The innkeeper was dedicated to good service and care for us and the animals she rescues. We would recommend staying there to anyone.
