Mouth watering food spot - Edit
Liked the food at Tianfuzius very much!
Read moreWater chestnuts, super yummy marinated eggplants, nice fake meat - Tianfuzius seems to have it all. 🤗
They have many exciting options at the menu and I can't wait to return and try them all.
It's advisable to make a reservation in advance.
We didn't make one when we came there and the waiting service was so-so... When we had a table the service was friendly and the atmosphere was very nice.

A great place, especially if you know what to order. - Edit
We have been here a few times now. There are some dishes that are nice but not super exciting, and other, more interesting ones that I haven't seen at any other restaurants in Berlin. As a rule of thumb, go for the more adventerous stuff here. Most dishes are vegan, but the few that aren't are easy to spot. They are great about allergies too. Some of the things we 've loved here are the steamed buns with mushroom filling, tofu skin knots, mapo tofu, mashed tofu with spring onions & the chinese broccoli. It's a really good idea not to skip the vegetables. They might not look like much, but they're really delicious, especially if you enjoy them with other small dishes. Going for several small dishes is a good idea here anyway. Even some of the things we didn't immediately warm to, like the lightly fried potato strips, were worthwhile to try because we'd never had anything quite like it before. The service is super friendly. A good restaurants no matter what you order, but a great one if you go for the more unusual stuff.

Go for the perfect vegetables, ignore the fake meats - Edit
Really great place as other people wrote already BUT:
Read moreTheir best skill are vegetables that are cooked/fried/… to just the right degree. I can hardly time my vegetables that well at home.
Their fake meat dishes are by all means totally fine but it’s the vegetable dishes that are excellent. And to be fair: Just OK fake meat dishes you can get at many places in town, but the huuuuuge selection of vegetables and their perfect preparation I didn’t find anywhere else in Berlin.
So if you were underwhelmed by any fake duck or something that they offer: Dare to try a vegetable dish with ingredients you don’t know yet or don’t get that easily in Berlin (like water chestnuts, so crunchy) next time you visit😄
Pros: Vegetables always on point, Many vegetables you never find in B, You can order half portions for many dishes

Wir hatten richtig leckeres Essen aus dem Lunch-Menü, mit einer super leckeren Sauce. Das Lunch-Menü hat auch ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

I loved the cold tofu, aubergines and mock duck the most. The food was generally quite good but small portions. The staff weren’t very friendly though.

Food was tasty and seemed authentically chinese.

Excellent - Edit
I liked everything about this place: the vibe, the restaurant itself, and not to mention the food! My duck dish was super crispy and tasty, I'd love to try it again or find out how they do it. Dessert was fine too.
Read moreThe only confusing or slightly negative thing would be that there was a section of the menu entitled "vegan".. as if everything else would contain milk/eggs/honey. I strongly doubt that was the case, as most of the menu appeared to be vegan indeed.
A long time on my list, and glad to finally get round to trying Tianfuzius!

A hidden gem of Chinese food - Edit
A friend introduced me to this place, otherwise I would have never come up with the idea to look for it. Apparently I have been missing out! The restaurant was packed on Sunday night, but they managed to find us a table for one hour. Their menu is one of the coolest ones: very functional (all dishes have photos and allergens and spiciness are clearly stated) and well designed. We ordered several appetisers: mung bean starch noodles in spicy vinegar sauce (4,50€), smoked tofu (4,90€) and fried xiaolongbao with smoked tofu, carrot and zucchini filling (4,50€), and a side of rice (3,60€). The food was served quickly, so we had enough time. The spicy starch noodles and small dumplings were really tasty! Next time I would have something else instead of the tofu. And I am sure there will be a next time! Lovely place.

Great food, but reservations important - Edit
This place has great food, I was delighted by all my options. There was so much to choose from! Unfortunately, though, I arrived without a reservation. The staff said they could seat me but I would have a limited time to be there. This was fine, I could manage with what they gave me and even left a little earlier. But clearly it is one of the more popular restaurants so make sure you go with a reservation! It's a cute place though, very pretty.

Authentic and delicious - Edit
We visited it because my friend loves spicy food (Asian level of spiciness) and we weren't disappointed. The dandan noodles were pretty intense but we have also ordered mild dishes like spring rolls, guo tie (dumplings) or roasted duck. The spicy chicken was fortunately not too spicy despite being lvl 2 of spice. Other guests asked if the level of spiciness of dishes could be adjusted so give it a try if you really wanna have a certain dish but you're afraid that it's too spicy. Everything was delicious and the waiters were very friendly. As dessert we had some sort of flower broth with sesame mochi and damn, we didn't expect that it is absolutely amazing! You just have to let it sit for a few minutes so that the water and mochi can fully absorb the flavour of the flowers.

Great Chinese restaurant, especially for vegans - Edit
This restaurant is unfortunately not fully vegan, but that's due to only a few choices on the menu that contain some egg. So there's lot of vegan choices available, and they are all really tasty. Also a lot of Chinese people eat here.

Authentic veganized Chinese - Edit
This is my family's favorite Chinese restaurant, even though not everyone in the family is vegan or vegetarian! We all love the food here, and it has been a great location for family get-togethers. This place is also friendly towards dogs!
Read moreNormally, Chinese food is characterized by meat and seafood, but this restaurant offers a large variety of vegan dishes! There are some items with egg or dairy, so you have to check the labels on the menu! ⚠️
The menu is large and consists of typical Chinese side dishes, main dishes with tofu or mock meat, noodles, rice, dumplings and more. Some dishes are inspired by Sichuan-Chinese cuisine.
Their food is authentic, beautifully garnished and overall very tasty.
I warmly recommend the "hot tofu stew Sichuan-style" and the eggplant Yuxiang-style. Greasy and spicy, but so flavorful!
The restaurant is quite spacious, yet, it's crowded most of the time because it's very popular. The interior consists of Asian-style decorations mixed with German architecture. #Veganuary
Pros: taste good
Cons: usually very crowded

Pretty good - Edit
Ordered many dishes to share amongst a group of 4, we enjoyed some of them, a couple were a bit mediocre. Our favorites were an eggplant dish and dumplings. The least favorite was a tofu skin dish and a flat rice noodle dish, both didn't have great flavor. After reading the amazing reviews we were a bit let down but perhaps we were just unlucky with our dish selection.

Simply amazing and authentic - Edit
This is not just one of the best (almost) vegan restaurants in Berlin, it's also one of the best Szechuan Chinese restaurants in the city as well. Everything you order has so much flavour, whether or not you go for their spicy dishes. Even the spiciest dishes (level 3) are not overpoweringly hot like you do get sometimes with other cuisines e.g. Indian. You still get to enjoy the flavour and texture of the food while you experience the spice.
Read moreAlso the staff is courteous, gracious and flexible, which is not always a given in Berlin. :)
Pros: Huge variety of dishes and flavours, Nice ambience, Friendly staff
Cons: Not everything is vegan (wonton soup + cheesecake)

Excellent!! - Edit
I’ve been here twice now as the restaurant is absolutely delightful - amazing decor and the overwhelming menu of the many many veg dishes. I also love that you can order “Klein” size so you can have a true sampling of the many dishes that are hard to chose from. Be warned that anything above 1 chili is VERY spicy. It’s definitely a Sichuan spicy not a German spice level. Highly recommend!

Great vegan Szechuan restaurant - Edit
There were tons of options and I liked everything I tried. We shared one of the dumpling dishes, an eggplant dish, a cold morel appetizer, and vegan pork belly. It was all really good. Note that spicy dishes are actually relatively spicy unlike some restaurants in Berlin. The atmosphere was also pretty good with nice outdoor seating and there was room for bigger groups also (though I’d recommend a reservation).

I've been here for a total of 3 times. Every time it's great and with the big menu there's something new to discover every time. I like the Szechuan style dishes the most, especially the spicy ones. The staff is also friendly amd they have good tea. The other drinks are also recommended.
