Great bagels and delicious rye bread

The bagels here are incredibly good and the vegan cream cheese is a house made cashew based spread. Can get it loaded with veggies or with just the spread.

The rye bread is perfect and they will slice it for you, great to take home and enjoy for sandwiches or toast.

The sweet bakery goods all contain honey which was a bummer.
Don’t get the latte, they messed up mine and made it with dairy milk. The rest of my group got their lattes made correctly with nondairy milk but the latte foam was not done correctly. The next time I came in, I saved myself the trouble and ordered drip coffee without milk.

Awesome place/food/people/vibe

Just getting around to posting, went here 3-4 times while on Hawaii July 2017. Our favorite place in the Pahoa area... great selection of vegan and omnivore friendly options. They always seem to have a great vegan soup, salad, and bagel sandwich—- the vegan pesto spread for the bagel or toast is AMAZING! They had a few vegan baked goods every time we went, which were all great (I didn’t ask about honey as another reviewer noted, as I’m one of those vegans who is happy to eat honey). They also have Nicoco vegan ice cream, and several plant milk options for drinks and smoothies. They do a 2nd Saturday dinner that has a vegan option too. IMHO, It’s important to support omni places that make an effort to provide great vegan options! They remain open, they are awesome, they are survivors, and they need our support, so please visit and support them!

Pros: Delicious food (vegan and omnivorous), Awesome indoor/outdoor atmosphere , Local vibe

Cons: Small menu with limited (but great) vegan options, Super casual atmosphere (also a pro)

Awesome food!

This place has awesome food and an awesome atmosphere! Tons of menu options, definitely not limited by what you can eat here if you are vegetarian/vegan. I had their veg sandwich and it was massive and delicious. Will definitely eat here again!

Pros: Lots of veg options, Large servings, Awesome people/atmosphere

Cons: The parking lot was tiny and awkward to get into, Very busy, not many seats

literally nothing was vegan

another place in hawai'i that thinks honey is vegan. they had three items marked as vegan, a sad little muffin, peanut butter balls, and raw 'tiramisu'. all had honey. complete waste of time.

Cons: literally nothing was vegan
