Fantastic for tofu lovers - Edit
Tried their lunch rice plate and it was honestly one of the best meals I’ve had! The plate had around 6 different tofu dishes and the age tofu (deep fried tofu) was my favourite. It was crispy yet so juicy and was paired beautifully with a sauce.
Read moreThe staff were very friendly and kept giving us refills of their okara tea and chatting to customers.
It was rather busy at lunchtime and we had to wait around 15 minutes outside before we got seated.
Pros: Fantastic food , Friendly staff

Hidden gem - Edit
Stumbled upon this place and we absolutely loved it. Favourite place we have eaten in Tokyo so far. The tofu is delicious (and I'm not a massive tofu fan) - the owners are wonderful despite the language barrier. Highly recommend! (P.s. if you're in a rush, this may not be the place for you. Personally I enjoyed that we had time to talk and enjoy our courses)

I'm so grateful my friend showed me this amazing gem - the owners are the sweetest local legends and the food is simply out of this world (provided you like fresh tofu)

Lunch set and dessert is amazing value - Edit
Great little cafe to enjoy the simple taste of tofu.
Read moreI have tried the rice set and vegan sandwich set and prefer the rice, because there are so many different elements in it.
Set comes with some plain tofu, soup, okara tea and the main plate.
Adding dessert costs a bit extra and I would recommend the ginger tofu dessert over the coconut one.
Yum!

So many tofu varieties - Edit
Was a bit hard to find, but in a really nice neighbourhood. The owner speaks only a little English, but was so lucky to help and was trying to have a conversation with us anyway. I was surprised about all the tofu dishes and had tofu tea - loved it.

If you like tofu, you like Tofu Room Dy's - Edit
Got enough of the ramen, burgers and brown rice sets? Try Tofu Room Dy's for a bit of a different take on Japanese food. Every meal on the menu is centred around tofu. They do have the basic Japanese rice and vegetable set, but it has tofu accents. I went for the shops specialty: the tofu sandwich.
Read more1300 yen for a sandwich may sound like a lot of money, but it comes with extra's! While the chef was preparing the sandwich, I was served a single serving of very firm and tasty tofu. Then a bowl of soup with vegetables and tofu was brought to me. The sandwich itself is made from fluffy light bread with lettuce, tomato and big slab of tofu and just the right amount of vegan mayonnaise. Considering all the extra's and the big size of the meal, the price was certainly justified.
Pros: original taste, nice atmosphere
Cons: closed on Thursday

Friendly owners and great tofu based cuisine - Edit
Had an excellent dinner here the other day and great conversation with the owner about veganism (in Japanese). Owners speak a little English though and they were more than willing to recommend me some items off the menu. Everything is tofu/soy based, even the tea(!) so might not be for everyone but it was what I was looking for. On top of it he gave me homemade senbei to take home. Great experience.

A relaxing and nutritious lunch - Edit
The staff didn't speak English but they did have English menus which clearly marked what was vegan.
Read moreWe went at lunch time and there was only one non-vegan option of a cheese sandwich, the rest was vegan.
When we sat down we were given water, then once we ordered we were given a piece of tofu which had a nice enough taste and texture to be eaten by itself. We were then given soup which was made from an onion and mushroom broth with more tofu in the soup. It was reminiscent of French onion soup.
I ordered the set lunch plate which was fried tofu and vegetables, three salads and rice. My mum and dad ordered sandwiches and they were both very big and filling.
There was definitely enough food to keep us feeling full, but all the food was light and healthy.
The service here is slow so dont expect a quick bite to eat, but if you're looking for a relaxing meal then I'd highly recommend
Pros: Almost the whole lunch menu was vegan, Theres an English menu, Generous portions
Cons: Not very much on the menu if you dont like tofu

Very small, nice and welcoming restaurant, the owners are super nice, they speak little English but they understand vegan. The menu is in Japanese only but the vegan items are clearly marked, and they are more than happy to explain everything.

Place is absolutely lovely - Edit
Came here for lunch first and they had a couple different options and had pictures on the menu which was nice cafe atmosphere. But come here for dinner and it's bit more fancy, nicer tablecloths/place settings, need to order a drink etc. Owners are fans of soul music and have multiple record covers displayed. Dinner also had non meat options but the vegan and vegetarian options are clearly listed in English so that is nice. They don't have an English menu at diner though so I literally just picked something random that was listed as vegan.
Read moreOwners are very friendly though and knowing a bit of Japanese will go far to have a conversation. They also give me extra little things which was kind.
The star of this place is really aptly the tofu it's just so good. I had a curry lentil dish with different types of tofu in it and and the soft tofu topping the dish was just so unbelievably creamy. Had firmer tofu me inside in a more crumbly feta texture with a dash of peppercorns mixed in, so good. Will be back, I really wish I had found this place earlier.

Great Meal! - Edit
I agree with other reviewers - I didn’t see anything on this menu that wasn’t vegetarian. I’m unsure about vegan because my sandwich definitely had mayo on it, but no meat at all. I had a lovely lunch, with my tofu avocado sandwich and some included soup, pickled veg, extra tofu, and hot tea.

Mayo is probably daizu mayo, made from soybeans and very popular in japanese vegan cooking!

Hello! I am a regular costumer, but I only come during lunch time. The menu/atmosphere changes during dinner time and there are increased options with some nonveg dishes listed. To add for happycow, the lunch menu is entirely veg (as of September 2017, see uploaded photos) for about 1200 yen and there's no drink requirement.

Tokyo favorite - Edit
This is one of my top favorite places for vegan lunch in Tokyo. The avocado tofu sandwich is very filling and amazing (includes pine nuts!!), or if you want rice+veggies the daily vegan plate NEVER disappoints and has lots of vegetables incorporated into the dish (both around 1200 yen). I have such a hard time choosing what I'll order each time I go. The tofu is of course amazing, and each lunch is also served with some house-made tofu and a cup of soup (tofu w/ broth). The lunch offers an affordable tofu dessert option as well (200-300 yen), and they serve it with okara tea (made from leftovers of their tofu making process). The staff are very accommodating and the atmosphere is very relaxing. I enjoy coming with friends for a very satisfying cafe lunch. :)

Cons: Dinner is more costly
