Vegan menu deserves 5 stars - Edit
Honestly so good! We had the vegan Pho (V12) and rice curry with vegan duck as main courses, and also dumplings. Everything was so delicious, with just well-rounded flavours, and also huge portions. We'll come back for more!😄

I went here with a friend for dinner on Friday evening. It was easy to get a table and barely full when we arrived at 8pm.
Read moreThe first thing that struck me was the interior design. I loved it. It was very Asian-inspired with statues and decorations everywhere. The main colors were different shades of brown, but there was also black, gold and green from the many plants. The music was upbeat pop, like September by Earth, Wind and Fire. I'm not sure if they were playing it just because it was Friday evening, but I found it fitting.
The menu consisted of seventeen tapas, fifteen main courses and one dessert. My friend and I decided we wanted to share tapas and selected number 3 (5,00€), 9 (5,00€), 12 (6,00€) and 15 (6,50€). They were out of 12 so we picked 13 instead. Unfortunately the waitress did not understand me when I asked her if that was a good amount of food for two people, since neither her German nor English was good enough. It ended up being a good amount of food and everything tasted well, I especially liked the fried broccoli from #15.
To drink I had a Mexican Tiger (8,00€), which was tequila, cointreau, sugar sirup and tiger beer. The Tiger beer bottle was held upside down into the glas by a piece of plastic attached to the glass. I'd never seen anything like it before and found it very funny.
I'm not sure why but when we were almost finished with our meal we got tapas dish #10 for free, which was very kind of her.
I had a good time at Vegan Kong 385! It reminded me of Element Five that I really like, but I must say it was perhaps even a bit better?! I'd be happy to go back :)

Neben den üblichen veganen vietnamesischen Gerichten, gibt es auch ein paar, die ich woanders noch nicht gesehen habe. Ich hatte gedämpftes Gemüse mit hausgemachter Sauce. Diese war sehr dunkel, cremig, sehr kräftig und gut. Vielleicht einen Tick zu salzig. Das Gemüse war eine gute Auswahl an Lotuswurzeln, Babymais, Zucchini, Spinat?, grünen Bohnen. Das Gemüse schwamm eher in der Sauce, aber das fand ich okay. Der grüne Tee mit Wildblumen und Jasmin war auch gut. Ich hätte mir noch einen Untersetzer zum Ablegen des Teebeutels (selbst gefüllt, kein Fertigtee!) gewünscht, damit er nicht bitter wird. Dafür war es ein recht großes Kännchen. Es gibt auch viele Tapas, was ich gut finde, wenn man eher 2 oder 3 verschiedene Speisen essen möchte. Allerdings zahlt man dann insgesamt mehr als für ein Hauptgericht. Das ist in anderen Restaurants aber leider auch so.

Really impressed by this Asian tapas restaurant. Very tasty and flavourful. The waitress was very nice and was working the front herself and we didn’t feel neglected. We had 7 dishes between three of us and we were stuffed. Loads of options to pick from.

From all vegan vietnamese restaurants Kong is the one I love the most! And thats for once because of the location in Kollwitzkiez, the ambiente and interior. You can sit out- and inside, it's really cozy but you also have got your own space. You always get a place and it's a pretty calm street (e.g. compared 4o Boxhagener Platz).

I love that the options are different from similar restaurants: Green banana, banana blossom salad, sabory tofu and seitan... it's a dream! I will always come back to try something new. Also the proces are very fair and not too high.

Fully vegan. Our choices weren't as good for everyone in our company. Soups very tasteful. Main dishes aren't very well described so you can get something different then expected. Not everybody at our table were satisfied with their choices.

We're always eating here and the staff is so friendly and helps us navigate all of our allergies. I have a gluten allergy and my wife has a mushroom allergy. Even with those difficulties, we always find fantastic things to eat here and their drinks are amazing as well.

The Pho (nr 31) did have some resemblance to the real deal, it smelled good. The Bun dau tuong ban (nr 30) is a tasty classic, though the soy sauce was off. Dumplings were not interesting. Nonetheless a bit pricey.

Discovered this beautiful restaurant 6 weeks ago and have to go here twice a week, although I live in a Berlin area minimum 30 min. away from this fantastic place. I have tried many vegan Vietnamese restaurants, but honestly none of the others even come close to KONG 385. I am an absolute foodie: Ingredients here are so Fresh and each dish is an excitement, a lot of great tapas, too. This place is outstanding!!!!
