I have been here three times now (two anniversaries and today, my birthday) and every time I am so impressed by the creativity and deliciousness of everything. Usually in a meal with this many courses, there are one or two dishes that I like a bit less than the others, but not here. Literally everything was delicious! The combinations of flavors are so surprising, yet work so well together. The service is also outstanding. I highly recommend this place for a special occasion.

The service was amazing and the setting and decor are beautiful and tranquil. We have been to two other Michelin Star restaurants in Europe, and this beautiful place is at that level - it should have its own Michelin star as well.

I have been to this restaurant five times over the past three years, including just last week, and it never disappoints. The menu is always changing, and the creativity and quality of the vegan dishes are outstanding. Compared to other fine dining places in Tokyo (which , in my opinion have mediocre vegan options ), this restaurant is much more affordable and consistently excellent. Delicious vegan desserts!

It turned out to be the perfect choice.
The attention to detail in the elegant decor, the table setting, the service and, of course, the food itself, was exceptional.
We were greeted by owner Mamta Reid, who was the most gracious and informative host, spending time to talk through each carefully prepared dish.
The intimate candle-lit setting helps create a calm and romantic setting for the wonderful tastes, textures and aromas that follow.
Flavour combinations that I wouldn't have even considered work so well together. Each of the 8 plates is presented exquisitely and sometimes looked far too pretty to eat.
We've been lucky to have eaten in some incredible restaurants as we've celebrated each of our 32 years of marriage, and Tudore Tranquility definitely rates as one of the best.
Mamta and her team have created something really special. Enjoy it if you get the chance.

The main dish was incredibly flavorful and beyond my expectations, the delicious creamy and hot quinoa dish was devine, crunchy roasted veggies, and delightful sauces. The experience culminated in a spectacular birthday dessert platter.
This dining experience transcends mere food, making the price of ¥16,900 per person, including tax and service charge, entirely justified.
This cuisine caters to a refined palate, so if you're accustomed to quick, large-portioned meals with familiar flavors and foods, be prepared for a delightful challenge. Savor the beauty of this experience.
Note:
1) Remember to pay the deposit on time as they do have a waiting list. (We almost didn't get a spot as we were delayed by an hour of the due time and date).
2) Please let them know in advance of any ingredients to avoid.
3) Come slightly hungry, as the food is filling.

This is a restaurant for people who actually want to eat insanely good food where every bite is dense with flavor. This isn’t the type of vegetarian food that wishes it were meat. Each ingredient was treated with the respect and nuance that it deserves. Every dish highlighted and emphasized the entire spectrum of flavors in each ingredient. The rosewater drink didn’t taste like rosewater, it tasted like the platonic ideal of your grandmother’s rosebushes. Do not go here for a first date. Go here with someone you know well so you can talk about the food. This place slaps.

The dining room seems to usually host only 2 or 3 couples, so your experience depends in part on your fellow diners. (We had a couple playing videos with sound on their phones…) We are used to larger and more modern dining rooms with less formal service, which we prefer.

The food we were served over 8 courses was nothing less than amazing. There were really interesting flavor combinations and it was all excellently put together and beautifully arranged. Although it could be seen as pricey, we thought it was well worth the cost.
Read moreThere are two main reasons I felt Tudore Tranquility should get 4 stars instead of 5. The first is how long the dinner took. It is a course dinner so I knew it would take longer than usual dinners but it took roughly three hours from the minute we sat down. I don’t mind waiting between courses. I don’t mind spending more time than usual on dinner, especially for one as delicious as this one but 3 hours felt like it was just a bit too long. My partner and I were both feeling antsy by the end of it.
The second reason for the docked star was that it wasn’t a very relaxed experience. This was due to a couple things. One was that the only other people in the dining area was another couple so it was oddly empty and quiet which made it feel awkward - with awkward silences and easily overhearing the other table. The music was quiet and gentle which didn’t help. Obviously only having one other table filled wasn’t something they could control (they did mention they had a cancellation earlier) but it didn’t help things feel comfortable. On top of this, the service and experience, though very friendly, felt a lot more formal than we were expecting which made it feel more awkward as well.
All of that being said, it was really good food and I’m glad we got to try it.

We had a wonderful evening dining at Tudore Tranquility, a hidden gem in a quiet neighbourhood in Shibuya. The nine course menu was full of pleasant surprises, both in taste and visually. The superb plant-based food, the atmosphere in the small colourful room, the service and nice talks we had with staff and owner all added up to a magnificent experience.

This is a great restaurant! My husband bought me a gift voucher, from Germany, for my birthday. I am currently doing my doctorate in Tokyo. Nothing prepared me for the beautiful experience I had at Tudore Tranquility. Not only is it beautifully designed to give it such a wonderful ambience, (fresh flowers, nice art, eye-catching glassware, cutlery and plateware) but also the food is so amazing. The three servers were equally amazing!

When I spoke to the Chef and told her this, she almost made me cry - she thanked me for sharing my energy and for also accepting her energy that she gave through the medium which is her food. Wow! She told me she meditates before cooking, and I could feel this. The name Tranquility really matches the restaurant.
