We made a point of finding Tulsi as it is all vegan. First impressions are of a quirky restaurant, in its decor, layout and music (we were treated to Abba's greatest hits for the two hours of our visit.)

The portions are big though the quality of the ingredients in my meal - mixed salad, thali and carrot cake- were not great and the flavour underwhelming. My husband had the mushroom and seitan burger with potatoes, which was lovely.
We arrived around 1.30pm and our order was taken promptly by the sole waiter. However the place soon filled up and we had a long wait for the rest of the food.
I would return at a different time of day and try other dishes as the reviews of Tulsi are generally positive and many of the customers seemed to be local.
Pros: Completely vegan 🙌, Friendly staff, Prices very reasonable
Cons: Quantity over quality, Service too slow

Best vegan meal in years - Edit
We came to Tulsi for dinner on 2 nights. The Gyoza and Pakora starters - so tasty we shared them both nights. For mains, we’ve enjoyed Tofu Yakisoba, Tofu Yakimeshi and the Thali. The latter contained Soya protein. All dishes were really delicious. Service was attentive and friendly. The wine list was small, but well-chosen on the basis of the 2 wines we tried.

I ordered a menu with bread, hummus, yakemeshi vegetal and as desert carrot cake. bread 5*, hummus 4*, yakemeshi veg only 3* as it was to dry and also the carrot cake was only 3* My friend ate Thali and that was 3-4* however the staff is friendly and the price is good!!

I had the quinoa&spinach burger, the potatoes were absolutely smash I devoured them within seconds. The burger was nice too, although the patty was a bit oily. I also got the avocado/banana/pistachio smoothie which was creamy and delicious. Overall a great experience for around 11€ which I think is fair.

The restaurant has more of a low key cafe appearance but has a large all vegan menu that would put many more fancy establishments to shame.
Read moreThe starters of pakora/bhajis were wonderfully crisp with a lovely spicy dipping sauce. The aubergine and tofu salad was tied together with a delicious sesame dressing; a very good, light starter.
For mains we had yakisoba sir fry which my daughter enjoyed but I found the veg a little heavy handed and could have done with more flavour. My main of chilli tofu was very tasty but for the price could have been served with rice.
A good restaurant with an extensive menu.

The huera chicken in spicy sauce, mushroom croquettes, and set thali tasted fresh, full of flavor, and not oily either, which is sometimes the case with this type of cuisine. The menu is quite varied with Chinese stir-fries, Indian thalis and pakoras, Mexican (nachos), burgers, and more. A great, easy-going place!
