Great atmosphere and super tasty food! - Edit
Loved it! Went for Brunch and the food was very tasty. Everything seems to be house made. The soy latte with the s’more’s syrup was delicious! The portions are pretty enormous! They have a pretty good selection of items on their menu. Would love to try some lunch and dinner items in the future! Will definitely be back!

A love letter to TDR - Edit
A perfect restaurant. A book store, book publisher, vegan restaurant, sometimes venue, also cocktail bar, and a full coffee menu owned by super cool humans.
Read moreTDR is worth walking both ways across train tracks in the snow up and down hills for.
I moved to Florida and always stop in to eat and grab some books when I’m visiting Columbus. Thankfully they have cookbooks with a handful of their recipes available. I have both, I hope they release more.
Love you TDR 🫶

Amazing food, love the atmosphere, and mismatch tableware - Edit
Food was excellent, we got the hummus which was great and the special this week was the tofu tikki masala which was incredible. There’s a really lowkey vibe in the place and I’d imagine it’d be a great place to get some work done. I know it has nothing to do with the overall quality but I love the mismatch cups and tableware it feels so cozy. Also the workers are very nice!! Overall A will be back
Read more**update!! Have been back SOO many times since this review which was the first time we ever went. The food is always amazing especially the specials. My favorite specials we’ve tried so far have been the shark week options, the Italian week, the breakfast burger, and the Indian grilled cheese. My favorite brunch option is the breakfast tortuga it’s SO good! I would do some truly criminal things for their home fries. The staff is so nice and my partner and I have gotten to know them over the past almost year and they’re all super nice. Also love all their books, we’ve got a few by now😄

Awesome! - Edit
Great spot! Everything on the menu sounded good, and what we had was amazing. The carrot lox eggs benedict had incredible flavor, and the walnut sausage was the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Good portions and came with a tasty side salad and potatoes. Also tried some baked goods and they were delicious. Brought a non-vegan friend who is learning to try plant based foods and she loved it.

Old school vegan at its finest - Edit
Stopped in for a quick bite on a road trip and left two hours later with arms full of books. The Mac and cheese burrito was as amazing as it sounds (albeit a tiny bit spicy) and the staff and atmosphere were great. As grateful as I am that I can step into any chain restaurant and order a beyond burger nowadays, it is refreshing to see a place embody the progressive spirit of veganism.

Great place that will satisfy every vegan - Edit
This was a great find while visiting our son who was on spring break from OSU. The meals were inspiring and affordable. I had one of the Tortugas and my wife chose the Jean-Claude van Randy Burrito. The meals were spiced nicely and presented many textures from a satisfying crunch to the creamy cashew cheese sauce. The meals were filling and we could have split one meal and have been more than satisfied.
Read moreAlso the ambience presented interesting books for sale with a great space to sit and eat our lunch.
The only drawback was our son has a nut allergy which the staff indicated they could not guarantee or rule-out cross-contamination from especially cashew. Unfortunately, we needed to find another option for our son for lunch, but we will return on our next visit.
Pros: Everything on the menu is vegan!, Friendly, helpful and engaged staff , Good selection of craft beer
Cons: Nut cross-contamination possible!

Cute bookstore and cafe - Edit
Delicious food and cool atmosphere. I had the Mac and cheeze balls, walnut sausage and red pepper Tortuga, and curried potato bao, and my friend had the tacos hermanos platter. Everything was delicious and the staff were so friendly. Definitely will be going back! #Veganuary
Read moreI have been to this restaurant so many more times since this initial review and it is amazing every single time. I love the great vibes and the super friendly staff. Parking is easy on the street, and the food is superb. They also sell Happy Little Treats pastries for dessert! And use Happy Little Treats' breads which is why their sammies are always so flaky and soft and delicious.

My favorite vegan restaurant - Edit
Two Dollar Radio has been my favorite vegan restaurant the past year. I come here as often as possible. Everything is made in- house and made from scratch. Even their breads are freshly baked from Happy Little Treats. They use very minimally processed ingredients, and cheezes and meats are made from cashews, walnuts, and mushrooms. They have great specials, including Happy Hour, $2 tacos, date night, slider night, and week brunch. They have fantastic drinks (coffee, teas and beer, cocktails), and they even double as an indie bookstore. The atmosphere is light and vibrant. It's very spacious. Another plus is the price. Everything is so reasonably priced for such large portions and high quality ingredients.

Tasty but Sad - Edit
Their website says they have $2 happy hour tacos from 3-6pm Tues-Fri, but when I went in, they said that’s only an in-house special because it takes so long for the cook to make them. The cashier said they had just recently discussed this and it was a new thing, but I would’ve come way earlier if that were the case instead of waiting till 3 to eat. So I only ended up getting a burrito which was very tasty and a scrumptious donut, but I’m sad I didn’t get to enjoy the tacos. ($3.50 regularly vs. $2)

Great Place - Edit
All vegan. Seems to have all house made components. Combines great vegan comfort food, great atmosphere, and an interesting selection of books. Large portions. They know how to make a latte. Definitely recommend. Leave time to both enjoy the setting and peruse the book selection. I got their in house vegan cookbooks and I am looking forward to working through them. Tried a breakfast tortuga, sandwich, and the French toast all delicious.

The best vegan restaurant in Columbus - Edit
This was my second time here and I got the street tacos which were fantastic. My only note would be that the pickled radish could use a little more acidic bite to balance out the mushroom steak flavor but as for the mushroom steak it was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Factoring price, variety, and quality I believe that TDRH is the best vegan option in Columbus. If only they had a second location on the north end!

Funky vibe - Edit
The place reminds me of the "Hippie" establishments from long ago. Very relaxed atmosphere. I got the Tortuga and my wife got the sandwich with salad. While I do not consider them to be excellent fare, they were both reasonably good and of reasonable value. This is also a small bookstore (I ended up purchasing a book), which makes for an interesting atmosphere; we had time to peruse while we waited for the food to be ready, which did not take long to get. We got the Cream Pie for dessert, which was very good.
