Don’t Bother - Edit
Had seen mention on Tripadvisor of there being a vegan menu etc. There was not, and the very limited vegan options were awful. Any chef worth their salt should be embarrassed by the food they served me.

Separate vegan menu - Edit
I love the vegan options at the Chip - I’d give 5 stars, but the app won’t let me aw it’s not fully vegan… They have a separate vegan menu with a couple of options for each course. The main courses were all very vegetable-based and therefore not much protein, but they were able to make one of the starters (veggie haggis) for me as a main course size, which was perfect. The dessert was unreal too! Great service and ambience too - definitely recommend for a vegan fine dining experience!

Surprisingly Vegan Friendly - Edit
I wasn’t expecting them to have made much effort with the vegan options here but I was pleasantly surprised to find they had a separate vegan menu where they have vegan used versions of some of the regular menu items. I had the veggie haggis to start and it was the best I’ve ever tried! The main was lovely too - amazing flavour and they had a couple of desert options. The waitress was very knowledgable about the vegan options and was so helpful. All in all, it was really nice experience for a special occasion.

Expensive for what you get - Edit
I love the Chip as a place to drink, and although they have a vegan menu, I’ve eaten there twice and it wasn’t great. The first time I got a plate of roasted cauliflower, which was nice but in no way worth £15. The second time I went I got a plate of what amounted to roasted broccoli, again priced at £15. This is a shame as their vegetarian options are imaginative. Glasgow has so many great places to eat for vegans that are exciting and reasonably priced, so I’d avoid the Chip until their vegan menu improves.

Worth every penny. - Edit
Very expensive but beautiful restaurant with at least two vegan options for every course. Every plate is completely delicious and all of the staff are lovely, helpful and accommodating of veganism.

Wonderful food & well informed staff at this Glasgow institutio - Edit
The ubiquitous chip is a lovely friendly restaurant, brasserie and pub. They have a special vegan menu and all their wines are marked vegan, veg or not marked. It is my number one choice when dining out with non veg friends and family for a celebratory meal. The food is really delicious, and their vegan menu changes fairly regularly.

Cons: A little pricy but it good value , Portions can be a little small - order a side

Delicious dinner + vegan menu - Edit
I booked ahead of time and let them know I was vegan, and they were super lovely, providing a separate vegan menu and even noting which beers wines were vegan. The food was delicious - I had the soup (not on the vegan menu but still vegan, so worth asking), tempura broccoli for main and roast plums with bramble sorbet for dessert. Service was fantastic. If you’re after a special meal, this is a great place to go. It’s housed in an old stable and the ambience is 👌🏽👌🏽
