Das Essen ist sehr gut. Eine tolle Auswahl. Die vegetarischen Angebote können als vegane Option bestellt werden. Essen kommt zügig. Nur der Service ist verbesserungsbedürftig. Kellner:innen haben lange Weile und ziehen einem den fast leeren Teller noch beim Essen unter der Nase weg, um abräumen zu können. Bin gerne im Umami X-Berg. War sehr enttäuscht von Umami P-Berg.

Not a fan - Edit
I can't pinpoint it exactly why, but it just doesn't convince me. The vegan options are actually very limited for such a big menu and popular restaurant and I feel that most of the dishes I tried are missing something. Definitely more veggies, but also taste wise it is nothing special.

Delicious food yet potential to improve - Edit
The food is very delicious. I had the vegan "fish" and it was quite amazing! The staff was friendly and we got our food very fast, even though we were a group of 15.

I think there could be more vegan options, many dishes contained meat or milk. I know better places in Berlin and qould not go there again.

Umami has every dish two times: vegan and conventional, which obviously leads to so many vegan options. The location is wonderful and the service was very fast.
Read moreUnfortunately the vegetables to my bowl were still a tiny bit too 'hard' for my taste but possibly that was just this once the case...(?)(I've been there only once yet). But I do recommend going there cause the food is yummy though :)
Pros: Many many vegan options , Friendly staff , Quick service
Cons: Vegetables a little bit too hard/"chewy" still, Sadly no vegan cake 😭😉

This place is very popular and crowdy, but as it comes to the vegan options, for me there are much better options in the town. I had a vegan starter which was ok, a bao bun as a side (so/so), and a plate inspired with fishy savours, but then it turned out to be mostly rice with unseasoned, bland veggies. The place is cheap so I cannot not recomend it, but it would not be my first place to go in the area.
