Very good vegan options to choose from and with very good value for money. You have to be careful because some of the options are quite spicy, but in general everything is very tasty. Highly recommended

It pleases me to see that Umi has grown and there's now more branches. The falafels are authentic, and easily among the best in town. Filling, and not too expensive for being Dublin.

Umi Falafel is the best way to have a quick, yet healthy and filling lunch. We both chose the Palestinian Falafel and it was absolutely delicious.
Read moreThe place was crowded when we first came here and there was a long queue, so we decided to come back thirty minutes later. Then it was fine and the waiting time was not long. The falafels are so fresh, and also huge - we couldn‘t even finish them.
The only thing to criticize is that it could have been a bit cleaner, especially the washrooms as well as the tables. It is also not particularly cosy, but well, it is a fast food place.

Wonderful staff, great options, lots of vegan items. The fryer oil is used with dairy so anything fried they do not mark as vegan. Although this is a chain, the food is worth a visit.

not only the vibe inside the restaurant is great and the employees are very friendly, the food is delish! the menu is totally vegetarian, and there are many different options, such as sandwiches, salads, meals and soups. great price as well! i’ve always been a fan of falafel and tried many different ones, this one i can say is really delicious!

Umi is my go-to for amazing comfort food. Their falafel is wonderful and their hummus is gorgeous with a very silky texture and decadent flavor. You won't break the bank eating here either, as the wraps are very reasonably priced and if you're extra peckish you can add on sides. 100% vegetarian menu with great vegan selection. I always recommend if you come here grab an extra order of hummus with bread for your table - if y'all are prepared to fight over it😉

Quiet branch - Edit
I find this branch good because I like being able to choose my table instead of being seated in a very small one. Also, this place is much more quiet as fewer people go and the space is kind of bigger (Umi falafel in Dame st can get so noisy, right?). For me the flavours in this branch are as good, even though I didn't try everything yet.
Read moreStill, as the previous review states, there are a few details about this Umi falafel, like the plastic cutlery, which is bad and I find it a bit unhygienic even.
Also, juices only come in those small bottles for take away, so again more plastic plus for me they might be smaller than the glasses you can get in Dame st.
The staff is friendly but when we asked for mango sauce in a "Falafel your way" they said "we don't offer that option, but ok, I'll do it for you"... then the wrap came without that sauce, or any other sauce at all! haha... In Dame st they always let us order the wrap with mango sauce, they don't even make a comment about it.
Few details to improve, but I think I still like going to this one instead of the busy one in Dublin 2 :)
Pros: You can choose your table, it's not busy or noisy, great flavours, as always!
Cons: Plastic clutery, juices only in bottles, staff could be more flexible

I love Umi but found that this particular branch could do with any improvements. Our food took about half an hour to be ready and when we got it, some of it was freezing so had to wait again. There is only plastic cutlery available which is disappointing to see such plastic waste being created, be great if they moved away from this. The staff was nice. With a few improvements this place could be on par with other branches
