the taste is special

the walnut soup was sweet , it was thick and amazing with sourdough bread.

the grilled mushroom was simple , easy on the stomach and the hummus base was executed better than a chef in a ***** hotel.

the mushrooms could be a bit charred , with grilled tomatoes , with the balsamic vinegar and the garlic herbs and olive oil can improve the dish , but it is great how it is.

Pros: the restaurant does not smell or make you smell, staff is capable and knowledgeable, the menu is simple

interesting options and pretty pastries

For lunch, I tried the banh mi on sourdough. It was difficult to eat – hard with hands but even harder with fork and knife 😅 The mushrooms were really nice, but the bottom bread was super soggy from all the sauce and overall I'd give it a 7/10.
I was quite excited to try pastries from this place, as they all looked amazing. I got a pain au chocolat to go and was a bit disappointed: the dough was tasty, but nothing like what a croissant should be like, not flaky and quite oily – the chocolate was good though. Maybe the other options would be better?

Pros: friendly staff, clean, aesthetic interior

Cons: the food wasn't as good as I had hoped :(

URT – Cozy Spot with Amazing Pasta!

We had such a great meal at URT in Seoul! The pesto gnocchi, meatball dish, and truffle pasta were all so good — full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The portions are a nice medium size, and you can easily share 3–4 dishes between two people. We were too full to try the pastries, but they looked delicious! Definitely a place I’d go back to.

One of the best in Korea.

I've been a regular customer there's since their original restaurant in Paju. You can always count on delicious food made with the best fresh ingredients. And the baked goods and desserts are amazing.

If I were to recommend someone visit one vegan restaurant in Korea this would probably be it.

Pros: Food is absolutely delicious, English menus, Zero waste concept.

Cons: Parking isn't easy.

A real gem in Hongdae

The menu is not very big but everything I had in my handful of visits was excellent, both dine in and take-out. They clearly use quality ingredients. As it's also a bakery, you'll have plenty of options for dessert, too.
Staff very friendly and welcoming, making every visit a joy.

Pros: Tasty food, several mushroom dishes, Friendly staff, Many dessert options (if you're ok with wheat)

Cons: No korean dishes, Only basic coffee

Extremely flavorful but small portions

We had the pad Thai and tomato meatball stew. I'm not Thai but this might be one of the best pad thais outside Thailand. Both dishes had really great flavor! The only downside is I wish the servings were a little larger for the price.

Want to come back to try their ciabatta and cakes! Unfortunately the ciabatta was sold out when we went there towards the end of the day

Best Pistachio croissant

I went a little before kitchen opening, therefore I ordered the pistachio croissant! Goodness it was delicious.
I ordered the Caprese sandwish with Sourdough to go, and it was so good as well!!
The team was so nice as well. I had a great time

Pros: Croissant, The team

My non vegan family loved it as well

This restaurant was open during Chuseok holidays.
So many nice things to choose from, we had the bean hummus with mushrooms (so good, so manyushrooms, it was my favourite), the truffle cream tagliatelle (my brother said it was missing a bit of salt) and a tomato stew with vegetables and sourdough croutons (my mom loved it).
And we got some pastries for takeaway all super delicious!

Pros: The variety of options, The great taste, The sustainable philosophy

Cons: Only drip coffee

Thai in Seoul

Didn’t have this on my bucket list, but this Pad Thai was as good as I have tried in Europe.

Didn’t try anything else, but the different pieces of bread they were selling looked good.

Pastries are incredible too. Just heaven for vegans

Tasty pastry

The food was good overall, but the pastry stood out as especially delicious! I loved that there were so many options to choose from. It was also nice to see the place buzzing with non-vegans enjoying the food. It shows how appealing vegan cuisine can be to everyone!

Very good

I had the gosari and perilla oil pasta. It was really well presented. I was very hungry so would have preferred it to be a bit bigger. But it was really delicious.
For dessert I had the tiramisu which was great as well.
I ordered a caprese sandwich for later.
I recommend the place.

Pros: The pasta was well done and special, The place is nice, The waiters are really nice

Cons: The ration could have been a bit bigger

Good pastries

Pastries were good, but the pasta was flavorless. I would try a different dish next!

I went back the next day to try the tuna sandwich and it was much better!

Cute lunch place!

Delicious vegetarian and vegan food, very lovely staff members! I dont recommend this as a dinner place if you’re very hungry because the portions aren’t huge, but for a quick lunch or a small hunger its perfect!

Small croissant more expensive & less satisfying

I often wonder how everyone has different experiences when it comes to experience the same food or pastry prepared by the same chef or baker. I understand I should never have to compare “orange vs apple” hmm Today I arrived around 5:45 pm and most baked goods were long gone, so I settled with a tiny fig croissant 🥐 (keep in mind that yesterday I was in the BEST vegan croissant 🥐 bakery/cafe of South Korea in Busan) and now this croissant at URT in Seoul was 1/2 size of the other and not even 1/4 delicious and satisfying near the other. I am staying true to myself even I might be offending many other reviewers/customers. But no, I had way better vegan croissants with doubled the sizes (&crazy impressive delicious cream fillings) than what they offered here. Plus, 2000 wons more expensive than the one in Busan. Namaste!

Bread-approved

I can’t wait to go back
Salt bread for only 3.000 is the most amazing thing ! Everything on display looks amazing
they have croissants, danish, ciabatta and sourdough plus a separate food menu
clean bright space - nothing cozy not less but the bread was awesome!
definitely recommended

Pros: salt bread

I need to come back

This place probably shot up to my top 2 places for vegan eats in Korea. It serves pasta and baked goods so it’s not your traditional korean food but it was so delicious.

We had the truffle pasta and the tomato meatball stew. I had to double check if the items were truly vegan.

This place was high on a list and another restaurant owner (Alt.A, so sweet) recommended it, it was so delicious! Will have to come back before I leave.

very cute cafe - wish they did Korean style hot food

I had the Pad Thai, which was delicious. It was a bit sad that none of the warm menu options were Korean food, especially since it's such an easy cuisine to veganise!

I'm excited to go back and try the amazing looking pastries.

Cool atmosphere, great pastries

This place was very trendy and had a really cool vibe and music. It felt more like a wine bar than a cafe. I had the fig & cream cheese baguette, but the cream cheese was too sweet, which made it like a sweet sandwich instead of a sweet-savoury flavour like I expected. The tomato-basil danish was amazing and I have to go back to buy it again!
