The best vegan food in Madrid - Edit
All of the food here was delicious and some of the most realistic “non-vegan” food we’ve ever had. The burrata was so good that we ordered it twice, and the tiramisu was also amazing. The croquettes were some of the best we’ve had on our visit to Spain (and we’ve had a lot). The staff were friendly and attentive. Not to be missed on a visit to Madrid!

We had a menú del dia which featured decent food. It was pretty average and a bit bland but for a good price en definitely not the standard foods you get at most restaurant. The waiters were rather unfriendly but it had a nice atmosphere overall

We loved all of the food we tried here and we tried a lot. We got burrata, ceviche, croquettes, black rice, and apple crumble. Price was reasonable for all the food we got and service was good. The restaurant was busy. I'd recommend a reservation.

Read moreLong story short we chose Vega. First thing we realized was restaurants get a late start. Vega opened at 8:30pm. We should’ve known. Other thing is make a reservation for best seating. We didn’t but were the first to arrive so we were lucky but seated at a high top closer to the bar/kitchen. Wasn’t bad though.
After ordering a bottle of white wine we settled on the croquette (soft creamy texture) and the burrata (the truffle and arugula compliment it well. Get bread too). Liked both of them…maybe too much.
For our entrees my husband settled on the Poke bowl and I chose the curry. This is where we were both felt the food was “good”. Nothing more beyond that. We both finished about 2/3 of our meals and just stopped. We didn’t dislike them…

the restaurant is super cute. Be sure to make a reservation. The burrata was ok, nothing special. It didn't taste like cheese at all. The Crougettes were super delicious and so soft in the inside. The quinoa bowl was ok, the portion size was very little. It didn't fill me up. The staff was super nice as well.

My partner and I went to Vega to have dinner around 19:00 o’clock. Unfortunately, they start serving dinner from 20:30 hence we had to pick from a reduced menu which wasn’t ideal.

The customer service was good in general. The guy who served us spoke English and was friendly and efficient. On the other hand, the restaurant looked like it’s falling apart and it definitely needs to be refurbished.
I would certainly give Vega another try but there are definitely better vegan places in Madrid.

We booked a table because this restaurant only had good reviews on Happy Cow. It did not disappoint! Fully vegan, nice setting, good service and delicious food. As mentioned in the description, this is more a fusion cuisine which makes interesting dishes and flavors. In short, we had a wonderful and delicious evening. Note: reservations are a must!

Been here before and enjoyed it. But this time the place felt scruffy and just exhausted. Really needs a facelift - a good clean would help. The food was poor and service quick enough but unfriendly and unwelcoming. It was the second week after corona lockdown ended so the staff were probably very tired and had had enough but it showed. Shame because last time I went the place was warm and cosy - this time it felt like a fast food joint in a tourist hot spot.
