Tasty and busy - Edit
We got there just in time to secure the last walk in table before they started turning people away in what I assumed was the dinner rush. Speaking of rush, we found there was a bit of a wait on our food and so we ended up being in quite a rush to eat and pay our bill. I had the mushroom paprikash which was delicious, as was my elderflower mint lemonade. Lots of variety on the menu and somewhere you easily have a very satisfying 3 course meal.

Great food - Edit
We liked the food so much that we came back several times. The staff was friendly too. The only downside I could see was that it was a bit more expensive than other similar restaurants we visited.

Lovely find - Edit
Great to see a fully vegan restaurant. We shared the cashew hummus, which was the perfect blend of smooth hummus, curried cauliflower and cilantro pesto. The flavours worked perfectly. The mushroom pappardelle was incredible, so so similar to the real deal. Had some brassoi stew, and finished with the chocolate orange mouse. All delicious.

A nice restaurant - Edit
We enjoyed our food here but do make a reservation during the weekend or else you'll miss out! We had two different dishes and they were good. I wish we had had more space to eat more! We will visit again in the future.

Top vegan experience 🤩 - Edit
Rich menu. We tried the tasting platter which was absolutely amazing: hard to say which cream was better tasting. Plus, it’s served with a delicious freshly baked pizza bread. Then, we had the lasagna and homemade gnocchi. The first was flawless, the latter was good, however the pumpkin sauce was a bit overwhelming. Overall, we were quite impressed. Also, bear in mind that portions are quite large.

Nice venue but food lacking flavour - Edit
I was excited to try some traditional Hungarian food. I ordered the paprikás with nokedli served with pickled cucumber. I grew up eating this from my grandmother and was excited to try some in Hungary. Unfortunately it was rather bland.

Yummy Hungarian food - Edit
I had the mushroom paprikash and my parents had the Goulash. Was great to have vegan versions of local food, and they mark everything traditionally Hungarian on the menu.

Huge selection, great desserts and drinks - Edit
The interior is very pretty and cozy, the staff was super attentive and kind. It looks like a great place to just chill and calm down a bit.
Read moreThe homemade lemonade was abolutely delicious, perfect mix of sweet and sour.
The cake was great as well, very creamy, not to sweet. The dough was flaky and the buttercream tasted rich without the coconut overpowering.
The main dish could have used a bit more flavouring in my opinion. A bit more spice, maybe some sourness or umami. It was still good, I was just missing something to round it up.
Still recommend this place if youre visiting Budapest though.

Amazing food and service - Edit
We had our Christmas dinner at Vegan Garden with a big group of people: both omnis and vegans. Everybody was very satisfied with the mains, desserts and cocktails.
Read moreI ate the veggies lasagne, which was the best I ever had. The chocolate-orange mousse and their "krémes" are also very tasty. I didn't love the cheesecake, it wasn't super fresh, but still tasty.
And our waiter was amazing! He explained to us the dishes (they had a brand new menu) and cleaned the table super quickly when a drink got spilt. He also brought us a new one without being asked to. And he did everything with a big smile on his face despite that the restaurant was full.

Best vegan restaurant in Budapest - Edit
We stumbled upon the place thanks to HappyCow! We just reached via an airport shuttle and this was a godsend. The free WiFi is amazing. Great menu options. It’s a walk away from all city centre points. Must try their pizzas, and burgers. We had the gnocchi with pesto, it was amazing. Quite budget friendly, super helpful staff and vibes

Great choices, good location - Edit
Very pleased with our meal at Vegan Garden, not far from a metro although we walked, well signed from both entrances of the arcade so easy to find.
Read moreI love vegan only restaurants so glad we made it here. We had a Vegan garden plate, Forest Paprikash, Traditional Hungarian Bean Goulash, Calzone, Spinach and feta green ravioli, Poppy seed bread pudding and Vegan Cream cake.
All were really good. Vegan Garden plate was nice, the puréed cauliflower was nice and the fried tofu was interesting.
The Calzone was a big hit, good quantity of ingredients inside so it went down well.
The Spinach ravioli was nice but not a big serve at 5 pieces.
The Bean goulash was nice with a base that contained puréed beans to give it a thickness and a nice level of flavour from such things Hungarian as Paprika.
The Forest Paprikash was good, not as flavourful as I thought it might have been, the hand made pasta was good and a has a good quantity of sauce.
Poppy seed bread pudding was nice, I’d probably prefer with with more poppy seeds.
Vegan cream cake was large with allot of cream like cream anglaise. Good size, good flavour.
Pros: Guinness, Good location, plenty of choices, Good array of desserts
Cons: Wish it was closer to home
