its alright~ - Edit
i like the interior and it seems like a really nice place, food wise the dish i ordered was merely mediocre though, maybe other dishes are better. i ordered the soba and it was literally just noodles with a biit of sauce and some pieces of spring onions. no veggies or protein at all, so not a winner for me. the juice was good.

Pretty average - Edit
Burger was very good but ‘home fries’ were awful - had to send the raw potatoes back. New ones were cooked but they were more like boiled potatoes than actual fries. Momos were good but a tad salty for my taste. The carrot dessert was average too.

Wow. Honestly, wow. This place was amazing. The food, the staff, the owner, the vibes. Immaculate.
Read moreI went with a (nonvegan) Nepalese friend and he said the vegan keema noodles were better than buff keema noodles. Actually, he said these were the best keema noods he'd ever had. That's no small praise from a local! This was the first time I had keema noods bc they aren't normally vegan and ohmygod it was amazing. Huge depth of flavors and great use of seitan and tofu.
The owner also gave us some seitan choila just to try! Choila is typically buff with masala. It was something I never thought I would get to try. But my friend said it was almost exactly the same.
So basically, if you want authentic Nepalese food and flavors fully veganized, be sure to check this place out!!
For me, it was a bit expensive compared to nonvegan local shops. But the pricing is comparable to most vegan places around the city. Definitely worth the money!!
Edit/addition: I keep coming back because the food is just so good. I've had the vegan burger, papaya smoothie, vegan parmesan salad, and chocolate shake. All smashing 10 out of 10. I cannot recommend this place enough!!
The owner and staff are some of the kindest people. Not only will you want good food but also you can engage in some lovely conversation!

We had an incredible experience at the beautiful Vegan House in KTM. Our group got to share a few of the dishes and each and every one of them was better than the next - I especially enjoyed the seitan in the dishes that was made in house and the biryani! Also loved the iced mocha beverage, what a treat!

For the animals 💕🐮🐷🐔🐣 - Edit
This new, vegan spot is just a month old. The owner, Kaylan, decided to raise the consciousness of people in his city by opening a fully vegan restaurant, contrary to his family or community’s ideas about it being a bad time to start a business or buy property. He is in it for the animals and there’s nothing more beautiful than gestures or acts of kindness by people like him.
Read moreThe place is quite large. There are different areas for seating both indoor and an enclosed, but more outdoor area. The menu is still growing, but the service is great and Kaylan is very open to converse when he’s not busy running around. Even his beautiful, canine companion is fed home-made food; as store bought vegan pet food is not available here.
Kaylan gives talks in schools and teaches about veganism and the responsibility we have to care for our planet and the animals we share it with. He’s dedicated, passionate, and was telling my local, non vegan friend how easy it is to be vegan- contrary to popular belief. I think it’s really powerful to hear it from people who live in your own community because local to local removes the excuse that you need to have privileges and access to resources which “no one can get here”. Actually, anyone can do it! 💕🌱
Kaylan also does vegan, eco tourism!!! Incredible work.
Oh yeah, the food:
We ordered a tofu app (delicious ⭐️!), fresh coconut water, a beetroot smoothie (sweetened with dates), and the Seitan based mock meat main course. I took a hot chocolate for dessert.
We also tried the pasta with tomato sauce, which is being tested still as a future menu item and it was really good with cooked onion and herbs.
We received hibiscus tea on the house, but a server promised me kombucha and I’m still waiting on it! I’m a huge fan of a homemade kombucha.
Highlights: the art, the service, clean and allergen careful, and the appetiser 😍🤤
Also, the homemade soy milk reminds me of my years living in China. That was a wonderful surprise, especially coming out of Europe, where the store bought soy milk tastes chemicaly.
I could go on and on, but just come down and support. Give it a try. They’re new and very open to suggestions, so don’t leave without giving your honest opinion and help them save some animals!
Also, 10% of the profits go to helping stray animals which here in Katmandu includes dogs and male calfs. Only female cows are holy, so you’ll find males on streets everywhere.
Perks for having hand soap in the bathroom! 🧼
Pros: Fully vegan and doing the work, Clean bathroom with soap, Wonderful service and food
