The outside looks cute but inside the menus are falling apart and dirty and many items are missing from the menu with "sold out" stickers that have clearly been there a long time. I strongly suggest they reprint their menus and just include the items they have. The food was ok. It tasted like the oil had not been changed recently.

Love this place - Edit
I really really liked this place, I wish I stayed nearer or stayed for longer to come back.
Read moreThe restaurant is a very cute hanok, kinda small, with a few tables on the right and another section with two more tables on the left (great for some privacy) and both look out at a small inner patio.
You order via electronic panel, put the table number in, select your dishes and pay there.
Food was delivered quickly, and it was really good. The portions are pretty big, and the plates themselves are big as well, be aware if you are at a small table.
The tteokbokki comes with vegan fish cakes, fried veggies and dumpling. Vegan fried chicken was very good and crispy, probably my favorite dish of the ones we tried, and tuna fried rice was good, I ordered it mainly because I was curious about the vegan egg.
Good food, cute ambiance, nice staff, totally recommend!
2025 update: came back a year later, still really good, big portions, nice staff.

fantastic food - Edit
Fantastic food and super friendly people! The only downside was that the Happy Cow address was wrong (33-18 Ikseon-dong, Jongno-gu). Luckily, Google had the right one: 12-4, Samil-daero 32ga-gil, Jongno-gu.

Mashisoyo! - Edit
We met up with a friend here and she showed us the proper Korean way to mix and eat our Bibimbap, tteokbokki, etc. Delicious authentic Korean food all veganized in the old hanok village area of Insa Dong!

Bland food & belongs to cult - Edit
The food does not taste good and authentic at all. I had the Bibimbap and it was super basic.
Read moreFurthermore, it belongs to a cult, Loving Hut with weird videos of the cult leader in the restaurant. While the cult stands for veganism, it’s leader openly supports Trump and thinks the election in 2020 was stolen. You need to decide on your own if it aligns with your values to eat at a cult restaurant. There are better vegan ones in Seoul.

Utterly disguisting - Edit
The staff is nice. But the food is consistently old, with a bad taste and non fresh ingredients. How in the world this is rated so High is beyond our Wildest dreams.
Read moreWe been here three times often because of no other option available at hand, and each time the food has been just barely eatable because of the hunger.
There are many good places in Seoul like cafe siva, plant cafe, the closer by gimbap place, oh se hgyan (though the owner is very rude), vegan kitchen even. But this …. This just sits very bad in the stomach and taste buds and the lack of understanding for cooking really makes this place which I really wanted to like, at the bottom of seouls vegan restaurants

Good food in a good place - Edit
We really appreciate this restaurant. We ordered the makis, the bulgogi and tuna rice. We seated in the patio, which is nicely decorated with plants. The food arrived quickly with a lot of small sides. For all of this, we paid 36000KRW (~22€).

Posto piccolo e accogliente - Edit

I ordered california rolls which were perfect for a hot summer day. The flavors were super vibrant and it hit the spot. The restaurant is tucked away from the touristy noise and traffic and has beautiful, peaceful atmosphere. Loved it.

Fake meat heavy - Edit
We tried the kimchi quesadilla (yum), tteokbokki with dumplings and fish cakes (good except for the fish cakes, which didn’t taste of anything and didn’t have a good texture), and the bulgogi (nice, but again texture wasn’t the best). This place is very heavy on the fake meat and was sold out of a few options. The portions are big, and flavours nice, but I didn’t like the texture of most of the fake meat used - a bit slimy.

Cons: Part of the Loving Hut cult, Too much fake meat, didn’t like the textures

maybe the highest protein vegan food in Seoul - Edit
The building is very cute. You order through a big tablet which has English translations. The food came quickly.
Read moreHowever, I personally did not enjoy my food much. I had the Korean BBQ chicken, which was quite dry, chewy, and not that flavourful. There was no sauce on them so I also ended up eating the rice I ordered plain. The chicken seems to be dehydrated soy TVP chunks, so it's probably very high in protein, which was the one big plus!
They also have a big screen that continuously shows cult propaganda. A bit distracting and annoying, but at least there was no sound.

Good Food - Edit
Be aware that this restaurant is operated by followers of sectarian leader Ching Hai!
Read moreWe tried the bibimbap, bulgogi rice, and fried chicken. The bibimbap was tasty and the best we had so far. The bulgogi rice was very rich and tasteful as well. The fried chicken were also good but not the best. The kimchi and soup on the side were okay. It's strange that so many items are apparently sold out. The staff is kind and helpful.

Cosy Restaurant with Veganized Korean Classics - Edit
This was our first meal in Seoul and set the bar very high. We enjoyed the tteok-bokki and the cold soba especially. The Korean chicken was okay, a bit too chewy. The fermented pumpkin drink was quite interesting too!
