Much lower than expected - Edit
Very turistic place with very basic food.
Read moreReading all these nice comments, I was disappointed after my experience, and still don't get how people can be so enthusiastic.
The orders work by fixed menus, not leaving the customer the freedom to decide. The story told at the table is pretty much a tape rolled to every customer, which I found very poor in terms of experience.
At the end, you leave with an almost empty stomach. Unless you pay for a refill piece by piece.
Feel free to go without reservation: the restaurant was almost empty, in my case.

Pros: Free table without reservation, Good matcha donut - not home made, Very instagrammable plates

Enjoyable! - Edit
Many of the sushi were very veg forward but the dips and sauces added to the experience. Enjoyed the yuzu pepper and green onion salt. My favorite sushis were the tuna and vegan egg. The dorayaki with ice cream was lovely if you enjoy red bean!

Somewhat disappointed - Edit
I hate leaving less than 5 stars for an all vegan restaurant especially when the workers are so kind. Unfortunately I have to agree with some of the other reviews. A lot of the sushi is not very innovative. I’ve had a lot better for a lot less. You have to order the set menu, and about 3 of the pieces are fun and different and the rest unfortunately, boring. Most the sushi is just avo on rice, a mushroom on rice, etc.

Great sushi, helpful staff - Edit
We appreciate vegan restaurants run by vegans and this is one of them! The staff were vegan and gave us a card with info on vegan restaurants in Japan which was super helpful. And we loved trying the sushi set with all the different types of sushi. Vegan sushi isn’t easy to find in Japan so really appreciated this place. It’s pricey for the set and not a ton of food but if you want to order more of a certain type, it’s about 300 yen.

I don’t understand the tourist trap warnings? I’m happy to pay whatever to an ethically vegan restaurant - where my sushi isn’t being cross contaminated with animals.

⚠️ Tourist Trap ⚠️ - Edit
I don't like leaving negative reviews, but I was pretty upset after leaving this place. Definitely felt like I got ripped off big time. The sushi was WAY overpriced for the portion. It was 5k yen for 10 pieces of sushi. 10 pieces might sound like a good amount, but even the sushi didn't have much in it. I was barely half full after that. The miso soup it came with tasted like instant miso soup. I had way better vegan sushi when I was in Hokkaido for 1/5 the price. If you'd like to try it for the novelty, it might be worth it for you, but I'd recommend looking elsewhere.
Read moreYou also know it's a tourist trap when the only Japanese people in the restaurant are the ones serving you lol. I'm not even kidding. The restaurant was full but it was all tourists. I'm guessing the place was somewhat new as there wasn't even a sign outside, just a vinyl banner.

There are plenty of other vegan/vegetarian places that offer tastier food for a fraction of the price imo. That plus the fact that locals don't go to this place is a clear indication that it's a tourist trap.

The place is beautiful and the food is of great quality. Lowest price as of now in 3800¥ for the basic kit, on the expensive side but worth trying at least once.

Vegan sushi at its best! - Edit
Today I visited the restaurant in Shibuya for the first time. I was warmly welcomed by all the staff and shown to my seat. The restaurant has a beautiful, clean atmosphere. A staff member came over, brought me the menu, and we had a very nice chat. She told me the story behind the restaurant and that they had only recently moved to this location. I also got lots of interesting information about the individual menus and options. The ingredients are all carefully selected and the sauces are homemade. I ordered the menu with a sushi platter, miso soup, a drink, and a dessert. The dessert I chose was also something special: homemade dorayaki. It was delicious!
Read moreEach piece was carefully prepared and beautifully served.
My special request was also handled very nicely and without any fuss, and I got other ingredients instead of mushrooms.
I enjoyed every bite and can only recommend this lovely little restaurant!

Delicious but pricey - Edit
Worth the price. The sushi is fantastic, delicious, and they have a great story behind their restaurant. They also handed us a little card with a QR code for their favorite local vegan spots in the area. This is a must-go for vegans and fans of plant-based, ethical food. Be sure to make a reservation so that you are guaranteed a spot.

Great place for vegan sushi - Edit
Had a very positive experience as this is the only place where we could find a wide range of vegan sushi. All the sushi options are delicious and authentic. Obsessed with the tuna mayo one and the soy meat which was perfectly seasoned. The shiitake mushroom is to die for as well. The vegan dorayaki is absolutely delicious as it is served hot and you can choose to add a scoop of ice cream on top. The staff are also very lovely and the QR code ordering system made it easy.

Best Sushi ever - Edit
Easily one of the best places all over japan.
Read moreThe sushi itself was already heavenly and while being very expensive, because of the incredible taste there was no way around ordering more.
I also ordered the Matcha Donut with ice cream topping and it was without doubt the best sweet I ate in japan until now.
Even just writing this review now, I'd wish to get a taste of the fantastic food in this place once again.
The only let down is the price, which is quite the bummer, but it's still worth every Yen.
We reserved and I think a reservation should be highly reservation, but looking at other reviews, other than i thought initially, if you're lucky you might get a seat without reservation too.
The staff is also incredibely nice and I had a nice talk with one of them because the Matcha Donut which I was so delighted about was also the favorite of one of them.

Such a delightful experience! - Edit
It was a real treat to experience thoughtfully crafted vegan sushi in Tokyo! Rather than a fake-fish approach, vegan sushi Tokyo highlights and draws out the already amazing flavors of vegetables and fungi. Our server was so nice and friendly, and shared a vegan map of Japan with us after our meal. Highly recommend!
