Order Sizzling Crispy Rice! - Edit
Meaning to go this restaurant for a long time and finally while downtown made it. The entrance takes you to the Omni Thai restaurant and once you enter you turn the left dining area for this vegetarian/vegan restaurant.
Read moreThe inside is quite nice - cozy but clean and tidy. The service was very good. Not only did we get the usual complimentary hot green tea but also a new cold drink that I can’t remember (plum?). It was a bit sweet for us. The staff wanted some feedback and we provided.
We had a Vegan Mixed Veggies and Mushroom Congee - it was good. Good flavour and hit the spot. It is a comfort food for us and it did its job. Not as good as our gold standard elsewhere. But definitely up there.
Sizzling Crispy Rice with stir fried veggies - now this dish just set a gold standard. IMHO a must have at this restaurant. The rice crispy and came out sizzling. The crispiness comes after deep frying the rice to perfection. Not sure how it was seasoned but it was just amazing. No spice as such but oh my, it tasted very good.
Coming back just for this dish’s and to try many more.

Hot Pot for the win! - Edit
Thoroughly enjoyed two experiences at this restaurant! Had the house special hot pot the first time full of all sorts of fun mushrooms! Next time had the golden curry with lions mane and the broth was so delicious! Really enjoyed the taro spring rolls and the lions mane skewers as well!

First Time Trying Hot Pot - Edit
I tried the hot pot menu (one non-spicy soup and one mildly spicy soup) and it was quite good! It's a lot of food (there were 8 people with 2 soups and platters) which is great. A great selection of items to use and it was all quite tasty. I did end up feeling hungry much sooner afterwards than I expected though, so I'm not sure if I just didn't eat enough or if that is typical with hot pot?

Very vegan friendly! - Edit
Food was fantastic and they have many vegan options! I enjoyed ordering mushrooms and tofu several different ways. The menu has a statement about caring for all sentient beings, which is nice to see.

Great for mushroom lovers - Edit
Great meal. Very mushroom forward. However, even the mushroom hater in the group found something delicious. Lions mane skewers and black bean tofu were great. Portions were generous.

Great for vegans! - Edit
This place has fantastic vegan food! We liked it so much we came twice for dinner. Don't miss the BBQ lionsmane skewers, sauteed dried tofu in Chili Bean Sauce, the veggie balls with bok choi, or the dumplings! We also had the tea tree mushroom fragrant spicy pot which was very flavorful but a little oily, ma po tofu, and the king oyster mushroom wraps. For dessert we tried the forbidden rice snow mountain (awesome if you like coconut) and rainbow fruit delight if you like boba and jelly sweets. They have some items that contain milk or eggs, clearly labeled.

Great food, all vegetarian, some vegan - Edit
Food tasted amazing both times I've visited (2023 & 2025). The crispy rice and cold rolls were standouts but it was all good. Some dishes contain egg but that's labeled. Menu is not that deep, a local could exhaust it over several visits.

The best Chinese food!! - Edit
The food here was amazing! Have been vegetarian for over 10 years and have not had anything comparable anywhere to these dishes for Chinese flavours.
Read moreWe went here 2 nights in a row on a recent trip and honestly would have went a 3rd if we didn't already have another reservation booked. Tried and loved: Assorted Vegetables on Crispy Rice (the tableside pouring of the veggies on the hot rice was a nice feature as well - lots of pops and sizzling sounds), Sautéed Dried Tofu in Chlili Bean Sauce, Chanterelle Fried Rice, and Fragrant Eggplant.
Prices are reasonable; easy 5 stars - this is certainly a case of a place I'd give more stars if I could. Will definitely be back on my next trip to Toronto.

VegeDelight is a must try while in Toronto! The restaurant is cozy and staff are friendly. We ordered a lunch special, which came with soup and tofu, and a plate of dumplings. The food was so filling, and it tasted like home. Prices are a little higher but the portions are huge.

This place is such a hidden gem! Actually share a storefront with Evergreen Thai and have a completely seperate menu. The sweet and sour lion's mane was my fave, recommend getting with rice. Cold noodles were also super legit.

OUTSTANDING - Edit
Visited this restaurant with my husband and we were blown away! One of the best meals we had when in Canada 10/10! The restaurant was paired with Evergreen Thai which was a little confusing at first, but ask for the Vege Delight menu and there's tons of options!!

Delicious food & presentation - Edit
This is a hidden gem that I was happy to discover on my way from another vegan restaurant. Most of the menu is vegan but it also includes vegetarian, as well as catering to Buddhist traditions. And for mushroom lovers like myself this has everything (morels, chanterelles, oysters, russulas, enoki, shiitake etc).
Read moreThe menu is so plentiful that I had a difficult time choosing what I was going to get even after already deciding beforehand from the website. Both dishes I tried were visually appealing and incredibly flavourful (to the point that the memory of it kept coming back to me days later).
The restaurant is divided into two different restaurants so the wait staff is perhaps less attentive but that's about the only negative I've found.
From this visit alone it's going to become my new go-to when in Toronto.
Pros: Authentic food, All Vegan/Vegetarian, Affordable
