Delicious Vegan Food - Edit
Always delicious, fast, reasonably priced vegan food at Veggie Grill. VG has been a favorite of mine for a long time. The items we tried today are seasonal but they were very good if you can get them! The vegan tuna melt and vegan turkey pot pie were both really good. The vegan tuna melt on rye was much better than any "real" tuna melt I've ever had! If it's your first time I recommend the Santa Fe Crispy Chickin, also the sweet potato fries are a must!! Other good stuff: salads and healthy bowls, also yummy wings and nachos, the chocolate chip cookies, carrot cake!! I wish they would bring back the classic VG menu items like the All American Stack!!

For me, the quality has dipped and it seems even more fast-food-y than before. I also dislike the way their menu has combined with Next Level...I preferred both being separate restaurants not more of the same spread out over multiple locations.

Read moreWe're in Pdx for a few days. Sooo many places to try, new and old, so little time lol. While we can eat Veggie Grill in Seattle, tonight we opted for convenience as Veggie Grill is within a few minutes walk of our hotel and I've been jonesing their Pan Seared Salmon protein plate ever since it was first announced but haven't had the chance to stop by Veggie Grill locally.
We got a bit carried away with ordering too much, which isn't unusual when going to Veggie Grill lol, it almost seems sacrilegious to go there and not order some variety of Mac and Cheese 🤷😅.
Everything was great, VG never disappoints 🙌. The cheese bites were great, haven't had them before .. pretty sure it's a relatively new offering. The center was soft and cheesy and nicely balanced with the dipping sauce. The Seared Salmon had a great flavor. If I'm being honest, I didn't find it to be very reminiscent of salmon, there was no flakiness associated with salmon, this dish had more of a vegan spam feel/ texture. This was my observation but it's not intended as a critique, just my objective take. The dish was really good, very flavorful, the color was reminiscent of salmon and there was a subtle but noticeably pleasant seafood-y after-taste on the back end.
I have to mention how friendly and personable everyone was. We've always found staff at VG and Next Level to be friendly but everyone tonight just seemed really genuinely approachable and friendly. Kelsey took our order for us and chatting with her really felt like we were in a place where we belonged, a vegan home away from home, an extra touch that was really appreciated.
So my recommendation is ... come for the food, come for the camaraderie, and then stay way too long because you're gingerly nursing a food coma from ordering and eating too much 🤭🤤.

I’m in Portland for a conference and came here for lunch twice, because I love veggie grill and there’s not one where I live and because it was convenient to the hotel. The first day I had buffalo chicken salad which was delicious and a side of tater tots, because why wouldn’t you get tater tots? The second day I had nachos, which I had years ago but they were a bit of a disappointment. Not enough cheese sauce and the chicken was very bland, which was odd because I love the chicken when it’s breaded and in buffalo sauce! The other thing is, you have to eat them fast as they are not very good once they start getting cold. Doubtful I would get the nachos again, but I definitely get the buffalo chicken wings again!

I’ll start by saying that I’m fairly picky lmao- I thought the food was decent overall! It’ll definitely do the trick if you’re looking for a quick bite. The cheese they use is extremely rich so be aware if you order stuff with a lot of cheese like a quesadilla! We went right when they opened and cleanliness was ok. Despite just opening the tables were somewhat dirty and the floor was sticky, but all things considered, not a bad experience!

A fantastic spot to satisfy all types of comfort cravings. Whether you want a hearty bowl, burger, or salad, it's got you covered. I ordered the Cali Bowl which is served with the best tempeh I've ever had. The Mac and Cheese is also top notch in terms of likeliness to real cheese. All of my family also enjoyed their burgers and bowls . The service here is very friendly and the background music was surprisingly good as well. Didn't know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised by the options and how good the food was.

Classic Vegan Chain - Edit
When I think of a vegan chain food place, I can only think of Veggie Grill. Theres so many options and I’ve definitely tried almost everything on the menu over the years. It’s such a classic. Some of my favorites include the buffalo chicken wrap, the fiesta bowl, and the carrot cake!

Ah yes! I saw your most recent review and one must have the most EXQUISITE taste that one like you must have. The atmosphere in the fast food chain known as "VeggieGrill" is simply unmatched. As you pointed out in your assessment, there is quite a wide variety of delectables that one can try to have. It's simply a 5 star course meal every time I order myself some food there. My personal favorite items to request are the Green Bean Almondine and with Herbed Butter and the Savory Sage and Onion Stuffing meals with a side of ginger hibiscus tea off of their menu.

My wife and I popped in for a quick lunch. Restaurant is fully vegan with a good range of both healthy food and junk food. Food was good when it turned up without being anything amazing. Staff were super friendly.
