The Gobler - Edit
Tried the seasonal Gobler, basically a mini Thanksgiving dinner in burger buns. It was tasty, just a little too heavy on the cranberry sauce. I loathe U-Village, so not my favorite Veggie Grill even though it's fine on its own.

The food was just okay. We had the tempura cauliflower and I’d say that was the best. Wife had bean burger which was meh, I had the protein plate (crispy tofu). The tofu was bland and all they did was fry it, it could have been marinated for hours before hand, but nope, just fried tofu. For the sides to my protein plane, I had the jalapeño corn, and herb roasted potatoes, and both tasted like last weeks dish that they tried to bring back to life by tossing it with oil. Heavy oil taste on both.

Next Level Veggie Grill really lives up to its name. I had a very over the top Ghost Pepper and Jalapeño Popper Burger on a gluten-free bun, plus a strawberry sundae, complete with whipped topping and sprinkles - both were very reminiscent of my fastfood memories from before going vegan. It's hard to believe a vegan fast food chain like this exists...only in America, I guess.

I judge a restaurant by its food for sure but staff and experience is why I go out - even when dining “fast food.” We ordered the new protein plates I ordered the steak and partner ordered the salmon.

I liked that they asked me if I was a teacher or a nurse during nurses & teachers week. And gave me a discount. When they found out, I was both they were very nice and offered me a to go strawberry lemonade as I walked out.

I've been to many different veggie grills in different cities and this one is my favorite! It's always pretty clean and there's a ton of parking since it's in a shopping center. I am never wowed by veggie grill's food but it's consistently good, not amazing.

Veggie Grill has never disappointed. It was about a 15 min walk from the campus, near all the shopping.

The buffalo sauce is hot, and lovely! I recommend that one if you can tolerate it. But the VG Classic is an amazing and traditional fast food style cheeseburger.

Read moreOne staff member who brought our food was nice enough but the other staff member who took our order seemed really inconvenienced and was not friendly at all. The food was amazing though so it was worth the stop.
Somewhat hard to find parking but again, worth it for the food.
Washrooms require a door code that you get after you purchase your meal which I get but thankfully there was no line to order.
Pros: Crispy caesar wrap (with Buffalo Chick’n), Strawberry lemonade, Chocolate cake
Cons: One staff member seemed inconvenienced

My mind is never blown at Veggie Grill, but consistently it’s easy to find something tasty, and it’s really easy for everyone to find something on the menu. I wish every airport had one of these. On my most recent trip, I got the Kimchi steak bowl, and it was really tasty. My partner tried the kimchi burger and was a little put off by how egg-like the egg was, but was overall pleased.

Read moreJust a heads up if you get the mac n cheese. The menu doesn't suggest anything about it being spicy, but there is hot sauce in the cheese sauce with red pepper.
I can handle a good amount of spice and this was a bit much. So fair warning ⚠️🔥
I told them it's worth putting on the menu that there is spice.
But they happily exchanged it for something else on the menu.
Pros: Fish tacos! Nom nom, Chill vibes , Service was excellent
Cons: No warning about spice in the Mac n cheese

My family orders online from this location almost every week. Even though I live nearby, I usually need to leave home right away as the order is ready so quickly. Parking can be challenging at U-Village, though.

Their rewards app is quite generous, which only adds to the value. I hope Next Level, who recently acquired Veggie Grill, only improves things.

Pros: Fast - Orders usually ready within 20 minutes., Reasonably priced, especially with rewards program, Good selection of regular items.
Cons: Sometimes orders are not 100% accurate., Parking can be challenging at U-Village., Need to improve seasonal options.

I can’t say the food at veggie grill is amazing, but it’s decent fast food. I’ll keep coming here when that’s what I need. Over the years they have removed all my favorites from the menu. Want to like the burgers, but the buns they use are not very good.

I went here a few weeks ago to order in person and I got the Santa Fe burger, and my partner got the Classic Veggie Burger. Both of us liked ours a lot, but didn’t find it particularly unique or spectacular. The cookies were amazing though.
Read moreAbout a week later I did an online order and my I ordered my santa fe burger again but got a spicy patty this time (I didn’t order that but it was ok because I liked it more.)
But my partner ordered the Grilled Chick’n sandwich and it was very off. Instead of sprouts it had shredded lettuce, there was no avocado, it was drenched in yellow mustard, and pickles were added for some reason. The chickn was also very soggy and soft. We had driven pretty far away at this point when we realized and didn’t feel like going back through traffic to ask for something else.
This was later in the evening and the person packaging the order was the only one I could see working, and it looked like they had 3 or 4 other order bags to do. In such a busy area like university village, I feel it’s not fair to have only one person doing all the orders, it’s not their fault it would get a little messed up.
I would recommend going here if you order in person, and can check your food. It’s a good restaurant overall, I just hope they hire more staff to help out.

They have some great grain bowls topped by perfectly cooked tempeh. The Corn Bisque is exceptional, chunky and creamy. I wish they had a bigger size on this one. The buffalo wings are awesome too, served with ranch.
