One of my favourite places to eat in Strasbourg - Edit
I ate the three-course menu of the day (starter, main course and dessert) and ended up really full. The desserts are the best ones I've ever tasted and the portions were really good. Drink was not included in the menu tho.
Read moreThey also have vegan products for sale, such as cheese or chocolate bars.

Fancy vegan dishes - Edit
First waiter doesn't speak english, the second was able the communicate with us and we've got the menu in english.
Read moreI've got the "Planchette méditéranéenne" which was very good, but the price of nearly 15 Euros is very high what looks like a bigger starter plate. Next time I would go for the menu of the day or another bigger dish on the menu.
Desserts looked fantastic but are also in the higher price range.
Overall I would recomend Velicious.
Pros: Menu is available in english (ask the waiter), Presentation of the dishes, food was delicious, Nice to sit outside (when the weather is fine)
Cons: Communication: Only one waiter spoke english, It's not cheap

Just perfect! - Edit
We visited Velicious a couple of years ago and still talk about it. The pastries in particular were unlike anything I have ever seen or tried since. The vegan charcuterie board was astonishingly good. With so much of the food created on the premises, you can really taste the quality and freshness.

You have a good variety of food with a big choice of wine there. If you have a sweet tooth you will be pleased to find a lot of classic French desserts veganized.

Great, the best vegan in Strasbourg - Edit
The menu consists of a few appetizers, 6 or 7 main dishes (including the plate of the day), a cheese platter, and a large variety of desserts.
Read moreWe had the seitan tartare, the mediterranean plate and the quetsche tart.
Everything was delicious, and rather different to what you get in the other vegan restaurants in town.
Special mention for the desserts, it was not so easy to choose! But luckily they open non-stop, so you can also try some between lunch and dinner. :)
The staff was polite, and the restaurant seems rather popular, so I'd recommend booking in advance (you can easily do it through their website).
Oh, and as other reviews mention, there's a small corner with vegan stuff such as cheeses or fake meats.
Pros: excellent food, good value, good vibe

Sweet tooth - Edit
We wanted to have a late lunch but we didn't notice beforehand the kitchen was closed in the afternoon. So we had to settle for sweet pastry and chocolate mousse. They have a large variety of other sweet choices and the lunch options looked really good. There is a fridge with some small grocery options like cheese and seitan. Unfortunately no sandwiches or salads for people like us who came for a late lunch. As a vegan it's always exciting to find a pastry shop and I couldn't chose. I have a small blueberry pastry with custard and a chocolate mousse. Sweet delight. They are partners of Too Good To Go, which is great!

Sadly only visited while café was open but non vegan family praised sandwiches, cakes and smoothies. Can definitely recommend it especially if you are stopping by parc de l’ongarie!(15min walk)If you decide to come keep in mind that they only serve actual food at specific times (and their cafe is open all day).

lecker, jedoch kostspielig - Edit

Very good vegan restaurant - Edit
We arrived early on Saturday for lunch and chose the tartiflette, raclette and vegan hot dog, and a torche aux marrons for dessert. By 12h30 the restaurant was packed and people were waiting downstairs for a table. Everything was delicious and the service was nice and efficient. So happy to have found a good vegan restaurant in Strasbourg!

Parfait ! - Edit

Wonderful place for lunch, dinner or simply a cake-pause - Edit
This place was a real discovery for us. Not exactly centrally located, but definitely worth the walk. We had wonderful lunch there and then the cakes... oh, God... the cakes are simply AMAZING! It's definitely worth to visit this place also just for the cakes. The atmosphere is very nice, there's a lot of places where to sit both inside and out. They have also a fast-food place opened more in the centre (called Velicious Burger), but, as far as I know, they don't offer there all the same delicious lunch&dinner dishes nor the cakes, so once again - it's worth the walk! Just be aware that the place is not super cheap.

Black Forest gateau - Edit
The desserts are definitely the star attractions. The forêt noire (black forest gateau) was definitely one of my highlights - light sponge, nice dark chocolate and boozy cherries. Particularly good with a Venetian coffee.
Read moreSome of the savoury dishes seemed more cafe style than resturant style (e.g. the wrap) but everything was nicely presented. Also several items on the menu had sold out/weren't available which was a little disappointing. Of the entres/mains that I tried I particularly liked the sharing board.
The atmosphere was relaxed. Service was helpful and friendly, although slightly slow when they got busy on Saturday evening.
There is also handy section of vegan products (yogurts, fake meats, etc) to purchase.
Pros: All vegan, Delicious desserts, Helpful service

Okay. - Edit
We went to both Velicious and Velicious burger whilst in Strasbourg and the burger place was far superior. Flavourful and exciting. The food at the bistro was assembled and not really “cooking”, it was okay, our potato gratin came out cold, we sent it back, came back cold again. The cheese boards were nice, but again not much more than cutting off some cheese from a block and assembling on a plate. We ordered the kids meal which said it came with coloring and it didn’t. The best part was the bio wine we ordered but the first waiter we had took so many attempts to uncork our bottle that he destroyed the cork and the 30€ bottle of wine was full of cork pieces. The cake was nice.
