New name "Verde y Rojo"

We get there and were told that Vexican menu is under the title "Verde y rojo". They serve animal products as well (which I was surprised by because based on their instagram and google accounts you would think it's a vegan only menu). So be clear that you want your order to be vegan otherwise you might get animal products(eggs, meat, dairy). You look at the menu through a QR and there are several restaurants listed so if you browse another tab keep in mind these other restaurants might not have vegan options. Our server was great and went the extra mile to ask the other restaurants about ingredients used etc. YMMV. The chilaquiles Verdes were delicious but the protein "asada" and "adobada" was pretty bland on all the dishes we tried.

Mexican Cuisine Veganized

Authentic Mexican cuisine served in a high-vibe/high volume atmosphere. I understand the need to appeal to U.S. Citizens and others who are in Tijuana to Parry, but geez-Louise at least cut down the music volume 10% to allow easier flow of conversation and in order not to add agita to customers' digestion. Otherwise, excellent service, presentation, use of fresh ingredients.

Pros: Fresh ingredients, Beautiful venue, Attentive and professional staff

Cons: Music way too loud

Excellent food

Great vegan treatments of traditional foods. Upscale ambience in a space shared with other restaurants, with a comfortable outdoor seating option.

Cons: Moderately noisy inside

Awesome!

It is oddly in a collection of restaurants that have one common server, it seems. The server knew the menu well. The food is delicious, the service was prompt, and the environment is festive. Sometimes as vegans, we feel outside of the rest of the eating world, but people could theoretically order from any restaurant here which is wonderful thing. I ordered a four taco package, and the website was translated into English for me so it worked well. For those of us a little less knowledgeable of spanish, if you order a donkey, you are ordering a burrito! Awesome taco variety pack 😃 #Veganuary

Pros: Tasty, diverse tacos, Relaxed environment, with booths., Prompt service

Cons: Not really a con: It's in a covered outside space

Great place to come with nonvegans

This is a large, fancy table-service food court. I went with my nonvegan family and no one complained because they could all get whatever they wanted. The vegan food was delicious. I loved the tamal de mole and the sope sampler.

Cool Experience

It took us a while to figure out the concept of this area. It basically is a food court and the servers will go to the different vendors to pick up your food. So in a way it's pretty cool because you have about 16 different small restaurant type vendors that have different types of cuisine, such as Italian, Spanish, Japanese . So when you order the server will actually go to the different locations to pick up your food. Once you figure out how to open the Web page it lists all the different menus by restaurant.

The food once it came was very good. The portions could have been a little bigger possibly but because of the overall location and atmosphere it wasn't really a 5 star experience. The Pozole was wonderful!

One of Tijuana's Best

The Tijuana vegan scene continues to change. Vexican Grill is located in a food court adjacent to the upscale Quartz Hotel, and is right next to the New City Medical Center.
The atrium eating area is lovely. You scan a QR code on your table, and menus for all of the restaurants appear. I ordered a divine enchilada with a sour sauce. Really tasty! The tamale was not one of the best I have had, but is was still good. To drink, I ordered a coconut pineapple water. I cannot wait to try the rest of the dishes on the menu. Even if you just get drinks, this is one of the best places to hang out in Tijuana in my opinion. Bring a sweater in the evening, as it can get chilly, even in the summer.

Pros: Perfect outdoor seating area

Cons: Delicious food elegantly presented

Good food, trendy location

My husband and I walked over the border and to this place. It did not disappoint! We each got a pozole and it was really good!! I got two tacos as well. You can order a cocktail from a bar at the market which is a plus as well :)

Pros: All vegan, Comfortable atmosphere , Quick walk from the border

Vegan Perfection in TJ

First time at Vexican Grill and it exceeded my expectations! Came here for my birthday and SUPER glad I did! I had their delicious enmoladas. Vexigan Grill really did execute the real AUTHENTIC mole sauce flavor/seasoning. (No other vegan restaurants have done this yet! I've tried lots of vegan mole at different restaurants) Their mole hits home, tastes just as what I remember mole tasting back in the day. I also ordered their quesadilla frita with the Chile poblano filling-really good too! But let me comment on that ice cream they have...BOMB.COM!! I remember eating "nieve de garrafa" back in 2015 when I was still vegetarian. I have been wanting this type of ice cream since I went vegan (2016) and let me tell you, it took me back to when I was in Camécuaro Michoacan having that nieve de garrafa by the lago. It is so light yet full of flavor without needing the heaviness of actual ice cream. I got their vanilla flavor, it wasn't too vanilla-ey nor too sweet-it was perfect! They also sang to me "las mañanitas" (mexican birthday song) since it was my birthday! Vexican grill have spot on flavor, excellent service and prices! It's a spot that I will definitely be going to every time I come to TJ.

Also-Vexican Grill is conveniently located with other nonvegan restaurants incase people in your party are not 100% into vegan food.

Pros: Flavor/seasoning, Service & location , Price

Tasty Tamales! (...and pozole)

We ordered too much, but it was tasty! Between two of us, we ordered two tamales, both red and green pozoles, and a quesadilla. All of it was good, but the tamales were the standouts for me.

Cozy cute total vegan

I ordered too many quesadillas, but enjoyed all, and ordered more tacos, etc. Also sweet rice milk almond, delicious. Shall return to enjoy more. Location is trandy, feel like LA. Thank you.
Note. Met the owner, also a vegan person. A plus.

Pros: Location, location.
