Can You Beli-Viet?

A previous foray into this small chain of restaurants led to an expectant (and rather large) order being lodged with this particular branch. My earnest -perhaps naive- hope was that somehow this time would, somehow, surpass the admittedly very strong initial showing. As it would happen, whether by cosmic manifestation or by sheer luck, my wishful thinking actually came to fruition.
There were no real negatives to speak of, though it would be wrong to suggest that all landed equally, some simply rose above the rest. Though it might sound quite trite, the spring rolls were among the leading-lights - they were just that delicious. Of the other noteworthy offerings, the slow-braised tofu and eggplant offered unctuous comfort in spades, while the papaya salad brought a wonderfully fresh and light contrast to proceedings. But the standout, without question, was the crispy pancake: an exquisite blend of textures and flavours that stole the show
Suffice to say, given the enjoyment I garnered from this meal, I will look to return here sooner rather than later.
