Has twenty four outdoor seats to enjoy an à la carte menu, as well as eighteen seats inside where a tasting menu is offered at the chef's table. The degustation menu features Japanese-inspired fermented vegan food prepared by raw vegan chef Joyce with a focus on natural whole plant-based sashimi sushi, house-made pasta, vegan chocolate, desserts, and cakes. Dishes can be adapted to suit Jain, allium-free, and raw vegan requirements. Pet-friendly indoors and outdoors. Reservations required 2-3 days in advance. Outdoor seating at weekends only. An Unforgettable and Exquisite Omakase Experience!

WakaMama is a true gem in Singapore, offering an intimate and unique vegan dining experience. Chef Joyce's passion for plant-based food is evident in every meticulously crafted dish. The restaurant provides a cozy atmosphere, perfect for a special occasion, with a chef's table that allows you to witness the culinary artistry firsthand.

The vegan omakase (vemakase) is an absolute must-try. The menu is incredibly creative, featuring Japanese-inspired fermented and raw vegan foods that are both delicious and wholesome. The plant-based sashimi sushi is a standout, showcasing incredible skill and flavor. For a complete experience, the sake pairing and cocktails come highly recommended.

It is wonderful that the menu can be adapted for various dietary requirements, including Jain and allium-free diets. The restaurant is also pet-friendly, welcoming furry companions both indoors and outdoors.

Chef Joyce is so passionate about plant based food and I love how creative she is with the vegan omakase menu! Definitely try it with the sake pairing or try out their cocktails!

A gem in Singapore

I have been vegan for over 11 years and eating around the world since I travel for my job. This was certainly a one of a kind experience. My kids and I traveled to Singapore for 2 nights in June and thanks to Happy Cow, I found Wakamama. Chef Joyce is fantastic. Her food is excellent and she takes you on a one of a kind journey with her meal sets. I recommend any one who loves creative food to experience this. Vegan and non vegan. You will certainly enjoy! 5 stars all around.

World’s First Whole-Food Plant-Based Dessert Omakase

WakaMama is known for its whole-food plant-based and gluten-free omakase, and more recently they’ve launched the world’s first vegan dessert omakase! Standouts include the rich umami sea urchin gelato, mont-blanc style green tea dango with chestnut puree and pumpkin sea salt caramel sauce, “ferrero rocher” yuzu white chocolate balls with pistachio chocolate truffle filling and crispy rice outer shell, alongside the spicy tangy wasabi strawberry bon bon.

True to Chef Joyce’s philosophy, these are all made using using natural ingredients, with minimal salt, oil, and, sugar. They feature probiotics-rich gut-friendly house-fermented ingredients, including Japanese amazake rice as a traditional sweetener and coconut milk kefir for wholesome creaminess. These colourful culinary creations are all testament to her love as a mother and her dedication to bringing joyful health to her neurodivergent family since 2012!

Would also highly recommend her seasonal savoury omakase drawing from traditional Japanese Zen temple cuisine Shojin Ryori and fusion influence from her multicultural background. Exquisitely presented delicacies with a delightfully wholesome taste. Highlights include the chickpea miso grilled aubergine, smoked bacon enoki, fatty tuna with caviar seeds, hamachi yellowtail with housemade black ikura sushi, and shark fin melon soup. Chef Joyce also concocts unique alcoholic drinks such as umeshu plum whiskey, orange basil cocktail, and chocolate sake, plus non-alcoholic beverages such as rainbow moon milk latte!

Each time I’ve visited, my non-veg companions have been blown away by how unconventional and delicious the food is. Well worth the price considering the quality ingredients, skills, and effort that go into the cooking, since virtually everything is handmade from scratch for long hours.

Love how this cosy homely space is always filled with warmth and laughter, and how I always leave with a heart full of her inspiring personal stories! If you have the opportunity, don't forget to ask Chef Joyce about her extensive volunteering experiences locally and globally, from leading eco-friendly sustainability projects to creating vocational opportunities for special needs students on the autism spectrum!

Reservations required~ Walking distance from Haw Par Villa or Pasir Panjang MRT. Furry friends are welcome, with pet-friendly treats such as a kefir cheesecake. Apart from the gentle schnoodle Momo, there are also musical instruments and card games.

Dessert Omakase

This experience was really an eye opener and it’s always a heartwarming time and filled with beautiful conversations with Chef Joyce.

Always the ever inspiring woman that she is, the effort she puts into her expertise and the sharing of her life experiences always has me recharged and ready to take on the world again.

Interesting culinary experience

I initially wanted to try the sushi omakase, but it was not available, so I opted for the festive edition instead. The overall experience was unique. The food was good, though not memorable. The location has a very low-key vibe, which felt at odds with the high price point. For the cost, I expected a more refined experience.

First 100% Gluten-free vegan Cafe 2020 in SG

For their set menu outdoor are not wasted our quota for our stomach , everything around 29-39 but all food guarantee delectable and even the drinks Chef Joyce prepared. She really using her heart and so much passion to cook with love. Most items were inspired by her 2 sons especially due to their different healthy issues so driven Chef and mom to cook healthy food and dessert for her 2 sons.

Delicious omakase dinner and cooking class

Earlier, gfs and I indulged in a delightful journey of flavors with @vegan_wakamama - wholesome plant-based gluten-free omakase. Chef Joyce does not add sugar and salt in her cooking. Superb culinary creations that you gotta try! @herbyvorefoods was used in one of the dish too 😍.

She’s able to customise omakase to be allium free (do request accordingly) & if you like to learn cooking, she offer that too (i learnt earlier and love what i learnt). Must make reservation before heading down. For Omakase, we paid $158/pax. After adding mocktail drinks and taxes, ~$200/ pax.

Cozy restaurant, perfect for an intimate gathering with loved ones 😋💚.

The best of the best

Whatever you order, the taste is at its best, tip top and satisfying. Probably the best vegan food in Singapore. But the price is atas too. The price signage in the HappyCow app should be 3 '$' instead of 2.

Pros: Only 1 word for the food: Tok Gong!

Cons: Price is too atas for those below average income

Guess you have tried our mushroom milk potatoes pave or pate de foie gras or truffle cheese mini tart or maybe our scallop steak and Otoro steak (tuna steak since 2020). Pls come back again 🙏🏽🌈☀️😃

A dining experience full of admiration!

I am very amazed with every dishes creation made by Chef Joyce. Her passion to drive the right vegan food concept to the community, has passion for cooking (from her 2 sons) made me admired and appreciated every dish that was served to the table. You need to try it to understand its worth! Overall, Im coming back!

Super lovely — reservation needed most of the time!

Easy to contact on WhatsApp; she can also sometimes take walk ins. Definitely pricy; maybe should be $$$ instead of $$ but everything is made from scratch and with a lot of love. If you want a fancier cozy private dinner this is a great option!

I m so sorry and apologised for the price when most ingredients were organic and artisanal handmade ourselves and are fermented food & drinks; including handmade ravioli, pasta, pasta sauce, bread, cookies, cupcakes, kefir raw vegan cheesecake, cracker and fermented raw vegan cheese, ice-cream and chocolate bon bon……. etc. Also we only serve 1 table by 1 table private dining tasting menu Japanese Vemakase style.

A truly exquisite, cosy private vegan dining experience ever!

I can feel the passion and dedication in which the owner, Joyce, has put together our bespoke raw vegan dinner. My first time trying and it simply blew my mind! I will be back for more😉A definite MUST TRY for anyone who not only wants to feel special but also find delight in savouring quality food!

Enjoy home-made vegan food

Owner is very passionate about her food, and her creation, and this shows in the entire time we had our lunch here.

Tried the Nepalese Curry Rice (not on the menu), Kimchi Tomatoes Noodle, Dumplings, and the Sashimi Sushi. Highly recommended! Thank you for the enjoyable lunch Joyce!
