A great find! - Edit
Happy Cow does it again. I would not have found this gem of a vegan restaurant, any other way. The owner is absolutely lovely and the food she prepared for me, is amongst the best I’ve had in Japan. The atmosphere is tranquil and in a quiet street, which gave me a nice break.

Cozy and delicious - Edit
One of my favourite restaurants in tokyo! Light and delicious and a lovely cozy environment. I switch between getting the soy meat bowl and the one plate dish, both yummy and perfect portion for lunch or dinner.

Really nice quiet cafe near sightseeing spots - Edit
Food was really good and the slow life atmosphere was very nice. Food was also healthy, you could choose to have brown rice. Location is also in a nice old syoutengai street with interesting old book stores and conveniently nearby Hakusan temple(hydrangea festival going on right now) and also comfortable walking distance from Natsume Soseki's old house memorial(actual house is relocated to meiji museum Meiji mura but there's a stone monument and cat statues at the site where his house used to stand)and the grand Inari Nezu Jinja, former Tokugawa residence now converted to a shrine

Cozy and Delicious - Edit
We stopped by Yasai Cafe Kukuri for lunch after checking out the Hakusan Hydrangeas Festival. Right away, we were pleased to see how cozy the space was and how kindly the staff greeted us.
Read moreWe ordered the daily plate and the coconut curry. While these are somewhat typical dishes at a Japanese cafe, the flavors blew us away. Everything was just so delicious!
For dessert we ordered the seasonal carrot cake and the sesame pudding. They were also excellent!
While there doesn't seem to be much to do in the area outside of the Hydrangeas Festival, there's also the Koishikawa Botanical Garden nearby, which is also lovely. It's the perfect reason to visit Yasai Cafe Kukuri as well!!

Happy I made a detour - Edit
I saw a review arguing that is was worth making a detour for this place. I am really happy I did. I took the take-out bento box and it was amazing! Also some deep-fried stuff in there but also a considerable amount of vegetables (carrots, eggplants, mushrooms etc.). I paid around 1000 yen for the bento box which was a good price. I think the portions could be upped by 10-20%.

A cozy place - Edit
I ordered Weekend pasta and liked it. Would like to visit again for the rest choices. Soup and drink are about 70% volume of the cup, which I think could be improved.

Peaceful and delicious - Edit
I had a great experience visiting this cafe for the first time. The atmosphere inside felt relaxing, with soft guitar music playing in the background, and the explanation on the menu that described the connection of the cafe to nearby Hakusan Shrine was interesting to read. My order was ready very quickly. The flavors were gentle (as I personally prefer) and delicious, also I was tickled by the fact that the color of the soup exactly matched the cup it was served in - not sure if intentional or coincidence. The cold soy chai I ordered was so good! I’m sometimes hesitant to order chai since it can be overly sweet, but this one was light on the sugar. Very refreshing.

Amazing ! - Edit
We had a lovely time here! It was a little tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the place and had a relaxing atmosphere. The food was delicious (especially the vegan karaage) and so was the dessert Chai that I got! Definitely a nice place to visit :)

Great simple vege lunch - Edit
We visited this small shop for lunch after visiting the Nezu Shrine. Although the shop only has a simple menu, the food was delicious, and the price is reasonable compared to some of the other places that we had visited.

Yum - Edit
Only a few meal options to choose from, but the One Plate was delicious. The soup is a thick creamy style rather than the miso style that usually comes with meals. I also got a dessert which was really nice.
