Good multiple options - Edit
Pretty good, with multiple options for everyone! Most seemed tasty, and the ones I tried were indeed. A bit pricy. 3.5

Delicious baked goods - Edit
Wow, I am going to come back again and again. They’ve got such a great variety of savoury and sweet, and all vegan! What a great place to have in Kyoto. The curry bread was especially good!

Good but pricey - Edit
Food was delicious. I'm French and the food was as good as those non-vegan ones we can find over there. Though pricey and a bit unfortunate that we can't sit since it's in a hotel lobby...

So many pastries! - Edit
This place is located inside a hotel. It has two entries. Either from the hotel or the side alley.
Read moreFirst of all there are many options ranging from sweet and savory pastries with many european inspired pastries and japanese staples, like melon bun.
There is a microwave you can use to warm up your pastries. There is a vending machine aswell as a coffee machine, but we didn't try it.
Even tho they they cost a bit more they all tasted delicious. If I could I would have tried all at once!
Bear in mind that this is more of a premium backery and less of a cheap to-go spot. But i think they have breakfast aswell, but we were to late.

Cute vegan bakery🤍 - Edit
MERCY Vegan Bakery is a small and very cute vegan bakery. We arrived around lunchtime and there was still a good selection of sweet and savory baked goods. Everything looked fresh and delicious.
Read moreThe only downside is that they don't serve drinks. There is no coffee with oat milk or other plant milk, only a few juices in cartons. But you can buy drinks like water or black coffee for only 100 Yen from the vending machine in the hotel lobby.
A lovely place if you are looking for fresh vegan bakery items in Kyoto! We would happily come back.

Tasty and affordable - Edit
This is a great all vegan bakery. There are quite a lot of choices, I had the little vegetable burger and the corn bread and both were great. The vegetable patty and sauces were incredibly flavourful. I also think that for the amount you pay (i believe for my 2 items it was around 850yen), its such great value!

Lots of options - Edit
I went around 11a and it looked like half the options were gone. I will try and go again closer to opening next time. I tried the melon bread, very delicious! Not as sweet as an American pastry. The milk creak filled bun was probably my favorite. I also tried the edamame and cheese tart, surprisingly good!

Delicious pastries. Savory and sweet - Edit
Inside hotel. Opens at 7 am. Got there shortly after 7 am and pastries were coming out hot. I bought most. The potatoe, Yuzu, pepper was my fave. So light and fluffy and savory. The cream filled is excellent too.

Nette Alternative - Edit
Die Idee ist echt toll. Die Auswahl ist in Ordnung, die Produkte leider relativ teuer und klein. Trotzdem wer Vegane Backartikel in Japan essen möchte kann hier vorbeischauen.

First 100% vegan bakery in Kansai! - Edit
Everything from mercy is delicious.
Read moreI just wish they would offer gluten-free breads as well. Also, since you can sit there in the lobby, it would be nice if they would offer some drinks like coffee or tea, too.

Delicious vegan Japanese bakes - Edit
I was greedy and got melon bread which was great to try a vegan version of , as well as yuzu and black pepper mayo bread and lotus bake, which was kind of pretzel like. Everything was delicious and I wanted to buy and try more. Would love to try the ammo and butter roll next time.
Read moreThey are open from 7am and close at 5pm or when they sell out. Theyre closed on Wednesdays. They’re located in foyer of a hotel and you can eat at the seats in the foyer. The hotel seems to have a soda fountain which is free for guests and think costs 100 Yến for customers to use.
