Come for the Jackfruit, stay for the conversation with Tanya! - Edit
What a wonderful place to hang out.
Read moreI found the newly re-located ALK on the 2nd floor at 100 Broadview.
The new location is warm and contemporary.
It's a great place to plug in your computer and hang out and let Tanya cook for you!
I've tried just about everything here and must say you won't find anything like it on the East Side, especially at affordable prices.
Hope you'll give it a try next time you are in the East End of Toronto.
Pros: Delicious, Affordable
Cons: not open on saturday!

Delicious - oh m' GAUH... - Edit
We ordered in so I can't speak for the atmosphere of the restaurant but I'm only half-way through my meal and everything so far is amazing! Mac n cheeZ... pulled jackfruit slider... Best! The Tropical smoothie is really great too - could add booze to it if you wanted a cocktail... Still have the avocado chick pea sandwich and Thai quinoa salad to go but I'm sure they're great too! ALK is a great Tdot vegan restaurant - and they deliver through uber-eats

Small with good message - Edit
Small space they should add another chair or two or maybe a small patio table outside. Small menu with a few options, but we had 2 of them and they were both yummy. I’d recommend the chickpea sandwich.

Delicious and healthy - Edit
The menu isn’t huge, but the options are all great. The Thai quinoa bowl was packed with flavour, and my carnivorous friend said the avocado sandwich was really good as well. This is definitely a new go-to optionwhen I’m in the area.

Awesome little find! - Edit
Always looking for a new place to try and had come across this place on Happy Cow. It was the review of the delicious smoky Mac n cheese which caught my eye as LOVE mac n cheese. Popped in on a Saturday afternoon and lucked out to get some of the yummy Mac n cheese as the person who served me ( daughter’s owner) said usually sold out. OMG! So creamy, delicious and yummy! Literally scarfed it down in no time as SO good! Kimchi made it so much more awesome but the siracha clinched it for me! Definitely made room for the delicious chocolate cup made from Belgian chocolate , coconut milk and hemp hearts. So happy to find this little gem and wishing it much success and long life! Will so be back for more!!💚

Small menu with food made with love. Had the mac and cheese, it was so creamy and such a big portion for only $8.
