Disappointed by the service - Edit
We were very much looking forward to try this restaurant after reading all the positive reviews and looking at the pictures. We were very disappointed by the service. At our arrival, nobody came to the table to give us a menu or any indication so we scanned the bar code and started ordering via the website without having the chance to be guided in our choices. Twenty minutes later we are almost ready to finalise the order and the waitress shows up just to say in a very bad English: “doesn’t work”. Big waste of time, we have to order everything again directly to her. I tried to ask her about the beautiful “puffy pita” bread we saw on the photos uploaded here on Happy cow. She sharply said “no puffy bread “. That was all the interaction we had the whole dinner. The food overall was good but not better than other places we tried, so I would not recommend this place.

Bread not vegan - Edit
We came here with excitement but ended up leaving after the waiter explained there are eggs in the bread so you can have the breakfast made vegan but without the bread it’s hard to eat the dips etc. Lots of the other things were dumbed down to vegan I.e things removed. We left in the end - it would be great if they offered a vegan bread as there are many options in Turkey.

Bread is not vegan - Edit
Clarified with their friendly waiter and chef staff that none of their bread is vegan. They indicated that they use a little bit of dairy in all their bread. We did not end up eating there as we had our heart set on their breakfast.

Tasty falafel burger and soup with a difference - Edit
Armada cafe was a warm and welcoming restaurant. Their options were good. I had a tasty traditional lentil soup. I loved the addition of spices fried flatbreads and lemon. The falafel burger was exceptional. I was initially unsure as falafel is easy to find in Istanbul. This burger was a calzone style burger with layers of filling baked in a brioche style bun- incredible 😍🤤

Highly recommended breakfast - Edit
The place is super cozy and colorful. Breakfast is already vegetarian but they easily make it vegan if you ask. Don't let the cute little containers fool you, it's a lot of food and will keep you satisfied for long hours. They serve extra bread, olives, jam, tea.
Read moreIt's expensive if you compare it to other places, but it's definitely worth trying at least once. I would definitely go back!
Pros: Delicious Lebanese food, Service is helpful and kind

Something for everyone - Edit
Loved the ambiance and delicious veggie menu platter with falafel (so moist), stuffed vine leaves, tabouleh, and baba ghanoush…all vegan. Also had meat options for carnivore friends. Very friendly wait staff who treated us with a starter of beetroot and traditional hummus with fresh pita bread, and followed our huge meal with complimentary Turkish tea. Definitely coming back another time.

overwelming but delicious - Edit
we had the breakfest for two and it was a lot as the other reviews already point out. it was on the more expensive side (200 TL) but absolutely delicious and you get a lot for your money. The waiters are super nice and bring you additional bread, jam, olives and tea all the time. It is also quite cozy and well decorated. We told them that we want one vegan version and one regular which was also no problem as they placed the vegan stuff on my side of the table.

The breakfast spread for one person is massive (bring a container to pack some of it up) but delicious and completely worth the price. A must-try!
