Brunch restaurant/café in the Poble Sec neighborhood, offering a 100% plant-powered brunch with specialty coffee, roasted in Barcelona. Dishes and drinks are 99% made in house, including the popular eggs Benedict and sandwiches such as the "Caprese" with mozzarella, pesto and sun-dried tomatoes, "Classic" with ham, cheese and tomatoes and "Sriracha" with cheese and sriracha. Offers two different cheesecakes (oreo or strawberry) and other baked goods like brownies, cinnamon rolls and cardamom knots. Open Thu-Fri 10:00-16:00, Sat-Sun 10:00-15:30. Kitchen closes at 3:30pm on weekdays and at 3pm on weekends. Closed Mon-Wed. Hours are subject to change - check Google for latest hours.

Their focused approach makes the cafe world class for quality, and this results in exceptional value because this is an experience.

Wish we had discovered this earlier in our trip so we could have come back. They make their vegan eggs in-house and they are incredible. We split the shakshuka and eggs benny on vegan brioche. Hard to decide a winner but I took this very useful photo.

I think you could give it to someone and they wouldn’t even know it’s not vegan if you didn’t tell them. I’ve been vegan for six years, and the last time I ate eggs was quite a while ago. Even my boyfriend, who isn’t vegan, was really excited about it.

I came to try the vegan eggs benedict and was not disappointed. It was very good and the vegan eggs were very authentic. The strawberry lemonade was also very nice and they have free water to drink besides that.

When visiting Barcelona, not having many plant based options was a worry for me, so I made an effort to research places that sold vegan food, and Asante was the most popular café I saw on every video or review, so I had high expectations. These expectations were met and exceeded! The staff were very polite and helpful as well, and made me feel very comfortable even as an English speaker in Spain. The menu was simple but everything was done well, and they had a great selection. I'd never tried vegan eggs before and was pleasantly surprised. Presentation was beautiful and, given the opportunity, I would love to return!
