The street number is 15 and it has small white letters on a black gate. Tough to spot at night.

They have a beautiful courtyard filled with plants that you can sit in to enjoy the food. I had the veg plater - which you can say to be made vegan by asking it to made “for fasting” (no animal products). It was very tasty, and the tea was also wonderful.

The food was delicious but even more than amazing meal the staff were just out of this world. I had a delivery and I really hope one day I will be able to visit them in person. Could not recommend this place enough!

Ethiopian veg feast - Edit
I visited Awash several times whilst in Nairobi. If you are looking for authentic Ethiopian for affordable prices then this is a great place to sample the delicacies of this cuisine. The veggie mix comes with a variety of lentil curries, beans, cabbage and beetroot. All served on a huge and tangy injera (Ethiopian flat bread). It's a messy affair - you eat with your hands - but that is part of the fun. Get one to share or brave it on your own if you have a big appetite.
