Barbarella Juicebar - Edit
This adorable café is incredibly popular and offers a wide variety of items in the cooler section, as well as options from their menu. I had a delightful vegan quiche for breakfast. It was presented beautifully and tasted delicious, but unfortunately, I couldn’t finish it. This is because I found the flavors, richness, and texture a bit overwhelming.

We loved the bistro location, food was always prepared & plates with care, staff were always warm & welcoming. Since they closed that location we decided to try the Juicebar-downtown location. The eating experience was less than desirable, & the food was meh. We may have had better luck with the grab & go items in the fridg or ordering a snack like an açaí bowl.

I had some delicious tofu pie! Highly recommend it. I also had the vegan cream pie, i had the same one in lake bled and it was better there. Everything was vegan and very delicious. The staff was not the friendliest but it was not a problem ☺️

We got two smoothie bowls and a barley latte. They were super tasty, beautiful looking and very fresh. However, there was just a little bit of granola and the smoothie to other stuff ratio was too big, so we were full of the smoothie by the end.

Amazing cafe which we went to several times during our stay. I would come here every week if I lived in Ljubljana! Perfect for lunch with so many different options including salads, sandwiches, and sweet treats. Fresh, healthy and really tasty food. Friendly service and options are available for takeaway. Some seating both inside and outside.
Read moreAs well as sitting in for lunch, one day we bought some sandwiches to take to Tivoli Park for a nice lunch in the sun, and another day got chia seed puddings for breakfast. The juices/smoothies were very tasty too! Would highly recommend.

After several days travelling in rural parts of Slovenia where the vegan options were pretty non existent, I was so happy to eat here. Delicious fresh food and generous portions. Smoothies, salad bowls and focaccia sandwiches and sweet treats galore.

I had a tofu and pesto sandwich in focaccia bread and my husband had a quiche salad with a dressing pot to the side. Also had a twix cake and a chocolate raspberry brownie. Everything was really tasty, in fact my husband who isn’t vegan said the quiche was the nicest he had ever had. We weren’t so keen on the brownie, but we had eaten a lot - there wasn’t anything wrong with it, just our personal preference. I would recommend Barbarella - so nice that everything is vegan, so even though the food wasn’t labelled in English, I didn’t have to worry about accidentally picking up something I couldn’t eat. It was clearly a very popular place but they were serving quickly and efficiently

Very disappointing cakes :( - Edit
My boyfriend and I ordered a čokomalina cake (chocolate-raspberry) and it was so bad, we couldn't even finish one piece. The chocolate and raspberry 'cream' was so dense and thick, that after a few bites I was already done with it. It felt like eating a cake made out of pure (vegan) butter. This isn't even the first time I've had this exact same issue, I've tried their apple-walnut cake, as well as their Bounty cake and both tasted exactly the same. Seems that all their cakes have a very similar recipe, which for such a pricey place seems very lazy to me.
Read moreYears ago I remember their apple-walnut cake as being one of the best cakes I've ever had. I used to get it whenever it was available at Barbarella BTC which is now sadly closed. I don't know how the quality could have decreased so drastically since then, or why they changed the original recipes which were already perfect to begin with, but either way this was the last chance I ever gave them. All their last 3 cakes I've had were borderline inedible imo. I only gave 2 stars because it's a fully vegan place, otherwise it would have been one.

Had thelarge minestrone soup with a slice of focaccia. Soup is yummy. My coffee though was quite watery unfortunately. But looking at everything else on offer, as long as i stay away from the coffee I'll be very happy here! Desserts , salads and sandwiches all look fabulous.
