Chai and no-tella drinks give an instant stomach ache. The food was the actual problem though. Terrible, cold refried beans, awkward chorizo with no flavour, worst tofu scramble (they actually had to try to make the tofu taste that bad), and finally cold stale day old rice. Places like this give vegan food a terrible rep. Do better.

Puedes pedir tanto del menú de desayunos como del de comidas, si llegas a mediodía. Su plato es muy completo. El rol de canela es el mas esponjoso que haya probado. Su galleta de chocolate también es muy buena. El café puede mejorar. El sanduich de carne deshebrada también nos gustó mucho.

Read moreWe ordered an iced matcha latte, iced latte, tofu scramble, and chilaquiles. Five minutes later, the waiter brought two iced lattes. When I explained to the waiter that I don’t drink coffee, he insisted I ordered a latte. I kindly explained that I ordered a matcha latte, but the waiter refused to acknowledge it or change out my beverage. This was very frustrating. I’m sure all vegans have been in the situation where we’ve ordered a veggie burger and the waiter brings a regular burger, and the waiter insists we ordered the regular burger. Ultimately, the waiter always exchanges it for a regular burger and acknowledges their mistake. Not the case here with the iced latte, and it’s especially painful that it happened at a vegan restaurant.
We paid for the two lattes (one of which we didn’t even order), and left before the food arrived. Never again.

We both thought the Mollettes (Deshabreda) was a tad dry (I ended up stealing sauce from the chilaquiles).
Cozy indoor dining area, approx. 6 cafe tables outdoors, English menus available, great service.

Went here for a hearty brunch - We dad the chilaquiles (regular and chiplotle), cappuccino, orange juice and Nutella Pan de muerto. Preferred the chipotle chilaquiles. Also, the eggplant option was not my favorite. I think chorizo is better. The cappuccino was divine and had notes of hazelnut. Would not recommend the orange juice. The pan de muerto was truly indulgent. This brunch fueled a whole day of CDMX exploring.

Started off with a Café de Olla, which was hands down the greatest coffee I've tried. It was the perfect balance of sweet and bitter. Then I had the chilaquiles with red sauce, which was just a perfect blend of tastes. Definitely going back to try it with the green sauce as well. I ended my visit with a chocolate concha. And that was the greatest sweet bread I've tried so far. It was the perfect temperature, where the chocolate chips started out as crispy, but then melted inside my mouth. You should definitely check this place out.
