Great portions and flavor - Edit
The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They had a menu in English. The breakfast was fantastic! We got the combo that came with a drink and a cinnamon roll. The coffee was wonderful and are scramble tofu had amazing flavor.

Just OK vegan pastry and beverage - Edit
Was looking for a spot to grab a knosh in the area of the Frida Kahlo museum. Cafe Vegetal offered quick service and cute ambience. The server had accidentally given us a hot beverage when we ordered a cold one (which may have been due to linguistic barriers). Would have liked to try some of their food for a more substantial meal but didn’t have the time.

Loved this place. Bowl Spicy Peanut Tofu was terrific and a good portion size. Chips/guac, tisanas, and ice cream sandwich were delicious, as well. Will definitely come back. Friendly service, too.

Out Of This World Vegan Mexican Sweets 🥮 - Edit
We tried their Mexican sweets and coffee — and wow, the sweets were out of this world! Easily some of the best Mexican desserts I’ve had anywhere. The coffee was also really good and paired perfectly with everything. Definitely worth visiting if you have a sweet tooth or just want a cozy vegan café experience in Mexico City.

Encontré el lugar muy acogedor, tomé un chocolate caliente y sabía super rico, pedí un sándwich not pork y me gustó mucho, la ensalada de col es de lo más sabroso que he probado, de postre un rol de canela y tenía ese toque delicioso, me encantó visitar el lugar me queda cerca de la cineteca y eso es un punto a favor, definitivamente quiero volver :)

We arrived right when they opened and had chilaquiles and hot cakes and fresh orange juice. The staff was helpful and friendly and it’s a quick and easy walk to Casa Azul (we stopped here before our timed tickets).

One of our favourite places in CDMX - Edit
A short walk from Frida’s. My wife had the nachos which she adored. I had a tofu peanut sauce with veggies dish which I’m drooling thinking about. Great selection of cakes, cookies and muffins. Lots of tables, clean and very friendly staff.

I wish the menu was listed on HC so I could recall the exact name of the drink and dish I had. The beverage was green tea with a rose (and hibiscus, I think) with some other herbal essences. Thankfully, it wasn't at all too sweet.
My main dish was a traditional Mexican sandwich (a torta?) bathed in a red sauce. Hence, you will need a knife and fork to eat it. It was a lot of food for me!
Note: They have an artisanal/craft beer, but they can only serve it between 1 and 5 pm for some reason. There are also sweets and coffee if you need a pick-me up or a sugar rush.
My server was super; he even provided me with a charger so I could re-energize my phone while I ate.

The place has all Vegan food. Even if the menu says cheese or refers to some kind of meet it will be vegan. I had some chilaquiles with cheese and a strawberry cake at the end. I think making vegan bread and cake it’s very hard, but they managed to make it super delicious. The place is right next to the street but has very good noice isolation so you don’t really listen at all the cars. It has a broad breakfast and lunch menu.

This is a short walk from Casa Azul. They have a good lunch special with drink, bowl and cookie. Bowls were fresh with nice sauce - we had bbq tempeh and peanut tofu. Great cookies. Great nachos
