Treating the name of this well-presented, contemporary, yet welcoming establishment as a command rather than a proper noun, I was determined to let loose and make the most of what seemed, at first glance, a formidable spread. On closer inspection, my suspicions were entirely well-founded.
Read moreWith this being a dedicated buffet restaurant, and even for Dubai, the range of available options was formidable. It also quickly became apparent that not only was there a plethora to choose from, but that the quality was of the highest standard, too.
Each individual culinary section contained a multitude of dishes that could easily have warranted their own write-up, from the cereals with their glorious granolas to the outstanding offerings in the typically British area - there was very little to fault and a lot to love.
Yet, even among this sea of near-comparable brilliance, there was one cuisine that proved superior: oriental. It wasn’t just that it housed perhaps the largest breadth of items for a plant-based diner to sample; it also had the tastiest morsels as well. The congee and the spring rolls would probably have been enough to tip the balance of my favour, but it was the incredible umami-rich Chinese cabbage and the fluffy, addictive baos - of which I had an inhuman amount - that ensured there was no doubt.
Almost instantly, this place catapulted itself to the upper echelons of my all-you-can-eat rankings, and I have no doubt that I’ll be returning to see what other magic they can conjure up.
