Great spot for vegan lunch! - Edit
Feels a bit like a hole in the wall. Friendly wait staff and quick service. Ordered a falafel and a classic shakshuka (vegetarian because of the egg), both were good! Pita felt fresh and the food flavorful

Good food and labelled vegan options - Edit
The main reason I chose this place is that it was open on Easter Monday. The food was cheap and tasty, and the staff were friendly.

Falafel is heavenly - Edit
Here my favorite food to order is falafel in pita. It has a fair price, and it's really delicious. It can be a smaller lunch, because it doesn't make you too full. I ordered the menu with falafel, hummus and salad once, and it was perfect! It's better if you are really hungry:)

Meal was good, but.. - Edit
Went there in July 2021, had a nice hummus and falafel absolutely delicious spiced fries. I was so full I could not move. It was a very good, cheap yet filling vegan lunch. The only issue was the lemonade. They have it pre-packed in plastic bottles. I know the idea of the place is more street-food than classic restaurant, but it would not harm them to at least serve the cold drinks in a glass. The table in the street was nice though.

It’s a safe choice - Edit
They have vegan options, hummus taste good, pitas are always fresh. Used to love this place (hummus bar as a franchise) before the pandemic, still fairly good but now they just give one pita along with the hummus (used to be 2) and portion size reduce.

Hummus Bar - Edit
We had a Picknick on top of the Budavári Palota and took a variety with us to go. It was delicious! A real treat! The pita was fluffy and they had so many options, it was hard to choose. We had:

Another great location of this lovely franchise - and this one doesn't serve meat! - Edit
I really like the franchise, and have already eaten at their various restaurants countless times in the past. I have visited this specific one several times already, and was never disappointed. Their hummus is creamy, juicy and savoury. the fried mushrooms are just the right texture, and the plates are big and filling. The restaurant opens to a pedestrian street where (during summer) you can also sit outside and enjoy your hummus without cars passing by next to your table😄
Read moreOh, and to boot: if you're longing for vegan pastries, Fill Good vegan bakery is almost right in front of this restaurant, on the opposite side of the street!
This location must be a fan favourite because it is often crowded: it happened to us at this location more than once that we either had to wait before we got a seat, or we even had to eat elsewhere, due to all tables being in use. As a result, getting your order at this restaurant also takes a bit longer than at some of the franchise's other locations.
One thing I noticed also in some of the franchise's other restaurants (the ones that are smaller or have a shorter ceiling height) also applies here: the ventillation isn't great, and if you sit inside, the smell of cooking can get into your hair and clothes. An extra extractor fan or a cooker hood could probably solve this issue :)

It’s a shame I can’t give a 5 star review because of the rules. But I really enjoyed the falafel and pita. Such a great price for what you get and the staff are really friendly. The homemade lemonade was delicious. Also my food was super quick! 🤘😌

Eating at Hummus Bar was really delicious. Although the place was crowded, we got a table for three persons straight away. Thus, the staff responsible for our area was a little bit unfriendly.

Yum! - Edit
Simple and delicious concept. It was hard to know just how much to order but we ended up with a lovely amount of food and great flavour. I particularly enjoyed the fried cauliflower. And the side of peppers and eggplant was a great pair with the hummus and pita. Just generally easy and cosy dinner spot.

Hummus and falafels out of this world! - Edit
I had the falafel with pita bread (the ones marked as recommended on the menu and it was super tasty. The falafels were one of the best I've had and the pita bread was delicious too. The service was quite good, they knew English fairly well and everything was delivered in a timely manner. Be sure to visit if you're in the mood for falafels!

Amazing hummus - Edit
I live in Berlin where you can get the best Israeli Aňa Arabic food, so I am always afraid to try hummus pr falafel somewhere else! But I was really amazed how tasty the food was. I ordered a complete veggie plate with hummus, tahin, falafel, baked chickpeas and grilled mushrooms. It was perfect! I think they even offer student discounts!
