I love it! - Edit

An atmosphere I thought I wouldn't ever get to experience - Edit
The owner/chef is an incredibly nice man who always asks how's everything and treats you like a friend. He tries to only make the food he thinks he's going to sell in order to avoid throwing out food. The restaurant itself has a very nice indie vibe to it, and the owner tries to make it as eco-friendly as possible (solar panels for example)

A must-go! - Edit
I have been to the K41 maybe 5 or 6 times and loved it every time.
Read moreWhen you get there, the one super friendly guy who runs it offers you a seat and you get a three course meal, consisting of a soup, main dish, and small dessert. You never really know what the main dish of the day is, but there are always tons of flavours in the mix! If find it delicious.
Further, the price is probably the best in town considering how much food you get. I also find the portions really well sized to get full.
Lastly, the atmosphere in and around the place is lovely. And it's easy to reach from the Königsplatz.
My recommendation: Definitely go there when you're in Augsburg.
Pros: Delicious food, Cheap, Feels incredibly personal

I love the K 41, the food is sooo good, the portion is huge and the price is more than fair at 7€ in the afternoon and 8€ in the evening. The dessert is 0,50€ extra.

Amazing! - Edit
One of my favourite restaurants in Augsburg. The food is fresh and delicious, all vegan. You get a soup, a main course which is a variation of rice, currys and vegetables and a small dessert for only 7€ at lunch time and 9€ in the evening. The meals change daily. The owner is lovely too. Definitely a must when visiting Augsburg, make sure to come early for lunch though as there is only a limited quantity of meals. You have to make a reservation for dinner I guess.

Best Food Ever! - Edit
Wow, what amazing food! If your not Vegan, do not be deterred, this is some of the best restaurant food I have had, vegan or not. There was a set menu of 3 courses. I guess this changes daily but we had soup, main and a small dessert. It was the best soup I have ever eaten. I left feeling full and totally satisfied.
Read moreThe restaurant is small and cosy with a friendly homely feel.
After such a great meal, for two with drinks, I was shocked to be only charged 20Euro. I would have happily payed twice the price. Just wish it was on my hometown so I could keep coming back :)

Best kept secret for vegans in Augsburg! - Edit
We had a 3 night stay in Augsburg and were planning on traveling to Munich to go to some vegan restaurants and cafes until I saw one listing for a little vegetarian / vegan café not far from our hotel. K41 seems to be a labour of love, with a couple of folks working there, one in the evening. It is only about 10 minutes easy walk from the Hauptbahnhof and is a cute little cube of a space, a bit of a tight squeeze seeing as how popular it seems to be (but space out the front for summer dining). We arrived on a cold January day and took up a shared table. There is a lunch and a dinner option (7 - 8 euro) with the choice taken out of it, as the 'lucky plate' is the only option. The meal starts with a soup, followed by a good sized plate of diverse dishes, and a small sweet to finish (drinks available for purchase). We went for lunch first, starting with a lovely spicy coconut cream soup with potato, ginger and a sprinkle of finely chopped nuts. The main was a cone of rice surrounded by stir fried vegetables, an Asian style mock meat dish, dahl and a fresh tasting spring roll. Very filling and excellent flavours. To finish was a small shot glass sample style of creamed banana. So delighted, we returned for dinner. This time there was a lentil soup, with mains of rice, with a generous portion of stir fried vegetables (different to lunch, including pineapple), tofu and vegetables in a Japanese flavoured sauce, and dahl (my favourite, very well made). The sweet was similar to lunch but had an avocado flavour to it as well.
Read moreThe flavours of each dish were excellent and we left full and happy. The place is popular, from what we saw. There was even a group of folks who waited, outside, in the -3 degrees c cold until a table was free! Excellent value for money and fast, friendly service.
Make sure you ask for vegan as I believe they may offer an occasional vegetarian dish (as always, I BEG of veg places to just go ahead and make it all vegan!!!!)
Pros: Price, Quick Service
Cons: Small space - you may wait for a table!
