I could only get half way through the sample box in one sitting. It's a good amount of food imo.

Sadly disappointed. - Edit
I was looking forward to visiting this place but as disappointed to find their menu is very limited. No sides, no breakfast items and only half the burger choices of other LOTF stores.

Miss you guys in QLD - Edit
Ever since LOTF shut in QLD, I've been living vicariously through the Mac & Cheese boxes at Coles. Finally got to Melbourne and the first thing I got was a munch box. God, I miss the nuggets.

Tasty convenience! - Edit
Wish we had Lord of the Fries in London! Admittedly not so good if you don’t like junk food, but for those of us who do, it’s great value and so convenient.

Fast food galore - Edit
Interesting that Flinders St Station has two LOTF stores basically on opposite ends. Pretty consistent vegan fast food though.

This store here is a duplicate. And I think the other one on Swanston St (opposite Fed Square) has closed.

Burger ok - Pommes lieber nicht - Edit
Wir waren heute im „Lord of the Fries“ und wurden von den Pommes sehr enttäuscht. Versalzen und nicht ansatzweise knusprig. Schade. Keine Sitzmöbel

Drowning in mayo - Edit
I'm surprised this is my first review here as it's definitely not the first visit. Like most LOTF, it has failed to deliver repeatedly, but sometimes there's just nothing else around that's vegan so it's revisited.
Read moreOn this occasion, I ordered the 'Stinger' which is described as 'melted cheese, bacon, Spicy Mayo & fresh lettuce in between toasted buns'. If there was lettuce in it, I didn't find it under all the mayo that had been heaped into the burger. I ended up discarding the bread roll and eating just the patty (which was actually really good) and the slice of facon, because the rest was inedible. It seems to be a bit of a bad trend at the moment to coat everything in so much mayo that you can't taste anything else...
If I need to eat here again, I may just ask them to skip the mayo and see how that pans out.
Pros: It's vegan, Quick service
Cons: Too much mayo, Inconsistency in food preparation/presentation

Great fast food joint - Edit
We landed in Melbourne around noon and LOF was nearby. We got some very tasty hamburgers delivered to our room. It’s a great franchise that I believe most of its customers don’t even realize it’s plant based.

Vegan mc Donald’s - Edit
You kind of need to be lucky with the person preparing your meal had a few times were the fries were not good or there was just to much sauce on the burger, you couldn’t taste anything else but in general lord of the fried is great if you crave fatty food. The biggie is literally how I remember Big Mac from mc Donald’s

The people here rock. The menu is extensive and the food tastes exactly like you wanted it to. It’s like if Maccas was vegan but a whole lot nicer. Huge plus for not serving carcasses, defs pay them a visit !!

Can't go wrong with LOTF - Edit
LOTF is my go-to comfort food and I nearly visit all of their branches BUT I just need to let everyone know that the Flinders St. outlet has by far the friendliest service. All smiling when serving me and I observed they also patiently helped and explained the menu to the customers after me, again-with a smile. Totally impressed and very happy with the food and the service 🩷 Thank you Team LOTF.

Serves a purpose - Edit
Found this a difficult one to rate, this was probably my first ‘greasy’ corner burger bar since being vegan and it fits that description very well so if that’s all that matters then 5 stars I guess?

Good burger and crispy fries - Edit
I ordered the original burger and a medium fries. I got the regular patty and the burger was nice. The bun didn’t fall apart and the cheese was melty! I got classic fries with Belgian sauce. I liked that the chips were hot and crispy.

tasty grab and go - Edit
Stopped here to grab food to pack for tennis. All very tasty. Breakfast foods served all day. I got the Chick'n Waffle. I'd get an extra side of syrup as the chick'n sucked up all the syrup and the sandwich was on the dry side. I also had the Classic hot dog and sweet potato fries. There are a number of sauces available. I don't know which one I got, but it was very garlicky. The quintessential fast food joint. No where to sit, just grab it and go.

Junk food - Edit
Nice junky food in a pretty packed area. I wasn’t too hungry so I ordered something small, fries and Mac bites. The bites are deep fried balls with macaroni and cheese inside of them and it was good. I know after a few drinks this place would be ideal.

Good food located in a congested and dirty location - Edit
The place is located within Flinders Street Station near Fed Square. It is an incredibly busy station. You can access the place either from outside the station or within the station. It is a very small place with no dine in option. Within the station there are some tables nearby but they are often very dirty. If you order from outside the station, you can sit in Fed Square, but there are often seagulls that will try to snatch the food off you. It is a convenient place that is open often where you can grab food as you're passing by Flinders Street Station, but the area is not a pleasant place to eat as it is dirty and congested.

Cons: No dine in options , Crowded location, Too many birds eager to snatch your food
