Food lovely but we left with 'bill shock' - Edit
It's a good vibe inside. But it took them a while to seat us and service generally was lacking.

Everyone enjoyed the food. My green fettuccini was delicious, not too oily and tasty. The bruschetta (vegan option) was also tasty and topped with both zucchini and eggplant. Of note, the vegan wines are also marked on the drinks menu.
The main meals are expensive. The pasta I had was $32.
As lovely as it was, with the reduced vegan options, high prices and lack of service - I wish I had gone nearby to Funghi E Tartufo. But probably a good option for a special meal out when dining with Omnis.

New menu dropped many vegan options - Edit
Maccaroni Trattoria Italiana used to have a vegan section in their menu, but recently they have removed it and the number of vegan options have been reduced significantly. Hopefully in the future they increase the number of vegan options in their menu.

It’s great this place offers vegan options. We had the lasagne and veggie gnocchi, they were good. The vegan garlic bread is delicious!

It's pleasing to see a separate vegan section on the menu. Vegan risotto was tasty with good separation of rice grains, gnocchi was filling and the duck was a good match. The salad helped freshen things up.

I came here before going to the theatre. I had booked which was lucky as they seemed to be busy. Some of the options were amongst the menu with vegan available. We ordered the garlic and cheese vegan option from the entree and I ordered the vegan lovers risotto. I really enjoyed the garlic and cheese pizza. The risotto was nice without being amazing. Service was a bit slow to get started but once we started it was prompt and friendly

The food was so delicious, the staff excellent. We had the vegan scaloppine and risotto. The service was great and the wine menu was good. The atmosphere was electric. If i lived in Melbourne this would be a regular.

They have a very clearly marked vegan section of the menu, as well as markings on non-vegan meals that can be made vegan. The meal I had included mock beef & parmesan that tasted beautiful and authentically Italian. It was quite pricey, but relatively standard for the CBD, and the meal was a very generous portion the food was delicious!
