Best Mexican food I’ve had - Edit
The birria tacos might have been the best tacos I’ve had. Very tasty and flavorful and the perfect amount of spice for me. The 3D printed pork is crazy! Dessert and drinks were also very good, although pricey. The restaurant was full (it made me so happy seeing how popular a vegan spot is here) and the vibe was really nice

We had a lovely dinner. We had the ‘chef’s choice’ menu and it was plenty and delicious. For the quality and amount of food I think it’s at a good price point, drinks are maybe on the expensive side.

Madre is amazing. The drinks, margarita and non alcoholic paloma tasted great. The guacamole, cauliflower wings, and birra and potato al pastor tacos were all amazing. The restaurant is super cute and the service was great.

I stumbled over this gem 💎 and was so happy! What an incredible place to eat. I had the 3D printed plant based taco 🌮 and the flavor was phenomenal! The waitress told us about the process and how they infuse the protein 48 hours in a marinade. I was impressed! I did not think the portions were too small as others stated here. We got dessert which was heave! The date toffee pudding with vanilla bergamot ice cream was a legit dream! The waitress was so sweet. I’d come back in a heartbeat 💗

I did not check the menu before and was a bit disappointed that it was all a very fancy interpretation of Mexican food. Very pricy and the portions are tiny. Good quality food and interesting flavours. It was quite busy and loud in the evening, so maybe book a table in advance.

I happened in a bit early, but the bartender was really nice and I ordered a Mole Espresso Martini while I waited. It was really good and you could taste all the flavors, including the ancho chili. I ordered the Artichoke Barbacoa tacos and they were great.

We arrived at Madre with curiosity. The vibe and the stuff are great, super friendly and super caring. The food is just impeccable, every dish is balanced, thought through, and delicious. We recommend the ceviche and the artichokes’ tacos. And it doesn’t end there, the cocktails are equally excellent! Please treat yourself and pay those guys a visit.

This is a must for all vegans visiting Amsterdam. The food is completely out of this world. The 3d printed ‘pork’ tacos, the cauliflower wings, the guac that’s made in front of you to your tastes. Everything was incredible!

Both tacos I ordered were great. It's not authentic Mexican cuisine... Which isn't necessarily bad.. but it's its own concept. To be honest I think they are way overpriced even for Amsterdam standards. I would only go to this type of restaurant once in a while on special occasions, but not on a regular basis. However, if you are in Amsterdam and like Mexican food... You need to at least try it once!

Expensive but totally worth it, all the dishes we tried were delicious and the service was excellent. The highlights were the cauliflower wings with an amazing chipotle mole, and the birria quesatacos - wonderful flavours and really inventive vegan takes on the dishes. Would also definitely recommend going for dessert too - tres leches was something I thought I would never get to try as a vegan option but I did at Madre and it was delicious!

An Amsterdam Must-Visit! - Edit
I’ve visited Madré twice now (October this year and last year), and it’s definitely one of my favourite plant-based spots in Amsterdam. Both times I ordered the 3D-printed Birria tacos and they were insanely good - full of flavour, and super satisfying.
