Basic, Cheap Eat - Edit
* This is not a vegetarian restaurant. They have a separate menu for chicken options*
Read moreManantial is a veggie-centered restaurant near the main Plaza. You’ll find several menu options that include a soup or salad, a main, a small drink and dessert. The food is ok. Best when on a budget and have a busy schedule.

cheap & good almuerza deals - Edit
Good vegetarian lunch in Peruvian style: soup as appetizer, generous main dish (diff options), and small dessert. Close to the cathedral and nice if you want to try a vegetarian version of Peruvian food.

Plentiful food at a low price - Edit
This is an interesting place - for 15 soles you get a meal with several courses, including soup or salad, tea, a large plate of veggies, rice, and mock meat, and dessert. Of course not everything is vegan and it’s recommended to communicate with the staff to make sure what you are eating. I speak Spanish so I had no problem but it may be more difficult for non Spanish speakers. We did not get all of the courses since not everything is vegan - however echoing previous reviews - do come hungry as the volume of food is large. It was more than enough food. Can be busy with locals as well and the wait staff is often busy - one must be a little persistent to get their attention.

Incredible - Edit
This place is amazing. For 13 soles, you can choose between 10 different healthy vegetarian dishes, and it comes with a drink, and desert. In Europe you would probably pay 15 Euros for this

Make sure you are really hungry - Edit
I like this place I have been here at least 4 times, once in 2017 and 3 this year. I have always come with meat eaters and they liked it too. The menu comes in big portions so, if you are not really hungry it can become overwhelming trying to finish all the food. Come early, before 13.00 otherwise it will be packed. They cook with eggs so, make sure you ask about the ingredients before ordering. Still though, plenty of options for vegans and lactovegeterians.

Good food on the cheap! - Edit
Came here for lunch while walking around the city center. Location was very convenient being just a short walk from Plaza de Armas. We got the executive menu—which included a soup or salad, a main course of choice, a drink, and a dessert—all for 10 soles. Ordering was a bit of an issue for us because the menu was in Spanish only and none of the staff members spoke English. At least they understood the word "vegano" and were able to tell me what to pick. The dessert of the day was a caramel milk pudding, so they gave me fruit instead. The manager was also very kind; he came over to our table to advice us to hide our belongings from public eyes while dining. (Apparently it's not uncommon for criminals to snatch whatever they see and run off...)
Read moreFor our main courses, we ended up getting the seitan milanese and a broccoli tempura sort of dish, both served with a tangy brown rice and a small salad. They were surprisingly good and just hit the spot. Plus the portions were huge! All our fellow diners seemed to be local people, which is always a promising sign.
Pros: great value, location, nice staff
Cons: no english

Good food, busy, friendly service - Edit
Great for lunch, multiple vegetarian options and some vegan (maybe not strict) on set menu for 7-10 soles in June 2013. Basic but tasty, plentiful serving size. Juices are extra but great.

Great food in a great location - Edit
I just happened upon this restaurant while walking from Plaza San Martin to Plaza Mayor in the city center of Lima. The food was excellent! I had a vegan version of lomo saltado (a widely popular Peruvian dish). All of the meateaters with me enjoyed the restaurant as well. Also, they give you *tons* of food for only 9 soles (a meal-sized soup or salad, an entree, a drink, and dessert) and a very talented string player provides a nice atmosphere. They also sell some vegan proteins and other foods (with a small grocery behind the counter).
