Simple honest and delicious dinner - Edit
Had a wonderful dinner, ordering from 10-ish meals from a board which is served out of buffet. Absolutely delicious food which is cooked in the adjoining kitchen. Absolutely delicious and good value for money. Tip: have a vegan dessert after, would highly recommend the Tiramisu ❤️

great spot in oslo - Edit
I spend one weekend in oslo and found it quite challenging to find restaurants that offered more than one or two vegan options. So I really appreciate fully vegan spots like this! The food was really good and the staff was very friendly.
Read moreNotice that the space is quite small, especially during rush hours. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend bringing your dog.

I loved this! - Edit
Everything was great! Food and cakes were amazing, even in a big rush we got our food super fast. The staff was really nice. It is a bit pricy but the portions were also quite big.

The food was good, and we especially enjoyed the crispy sushi rolls. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. Overall, we had a nice experience and would come back again.

Tasty lasagna and good vibes - Edit
When you step into the café/lunch diner, you're lightly hit with the smell of mouth drenching food. It's a reasonable amount of dishes to choose from. Lasagna, curry, bowls, falafel and dumplings to name the biggest ones. Then there's the cake section of for example chocolate ganache cakes, carrot cake and browines. The food is fresh, light and with lots of taste. Nice staff. I'm planning to return as soon as I'm in town again

Eclectic, tasty food - Edit
An eclectic mix of food on offer in a comfortable setting. I ordered a Jamaican curry (mild; mainly cauliflower, with spinach, onion and kidney beans) and rice - it tasted great. Staff are friendly and helpful

Solid, not outstanding - Edit
We had a great dinner here. My husband had curry with rice while I had leek and potato soup. There were lots of nice and healthy options. I would absolutely recommend this place and of course love that it's fully vegan. Giving only 4 stars since the cafeteria style means that the food sits out longer and didn't feel as fresh as it could. Also my impression is that the menu rotates a lot which is probably great for regular lunch goers. But for me as a tourist it means all the food options were good but not fabulous.

I enjoyed the enchiladas with lots of salad on the side. Pleasant staff, very busy though so probably best to book a table.

Sadly disappointing. - Edit
Nordvegan is certainly more of a cafe than a restaurant. Booked a table on the website but no booking needed. We had the lasagne which was tasty but no real seasoning as well the meatballs which was neither!

Good food and desserts - Edit
Popular place for a reason. Best vegan place in town for a “real meal.” I’ve had the lasagne with salad and the Thai curry with rice: both tasty, both not served hot enough. Also, a good udon noodle bowl. The carrot cake is delicious: two iced layers. I took away a falafel wrap for my travel day, but the wraps can also be warmed.
Read moreOne Monday, they had no sushi available.
I think there is additional seating on a rear patio.
According to the August 2026 sign in the window, closing times some days are slightly later, but that might be a seasonal change.
Pleasant service.

Favorite place in Oslo - Edit
This place never disappoints. The food is always delicious and filling. There is a wide selection, so there is something for everyone - whether you’re in the mood for a salad, a burger, or a curry. I can highly recommend the lasagna; it is absolutely amazing. For dessert, they have delicious cakes and a variety of hot drinks. It is very reassuring to know that everything here is vegan :)

Special place for Norwegian vegans - Edit
It's a bit of a disappointment, particularly as so expensive, because I had hoped for something more convivial with it being a special place for vegans and vegetarians in Oslo. The food was just plonked in front of me as if I were in a takeaway. My ginger beer was a welcome refreshment from the sweltering streets though. I would say that my main of lasagne was a bit heavy and the side salads nothing special.

Delicious Vegan Comfort Food (Including Dessert 🤩) - Edit
The menu is chalked full of comfort food ranging from lasagna to burgers. We enjoyed the chicken Caesar wrap and the lasagna. Both were fabulous! Of course we had to finish off with a carrot cake (highly recommend). Sorry for the pics of half eaten food 😂 It just looked so good!

Overrated and underwhelming cafeteria food - Edit
I am surprised that this place gets such high reviews (and that it takes reservations). Most items are served cafeteria-style from the counter. My husband ordered the goulash that had fake veggie meatballs and I ordered the moussaka made mostly of lentils. Neither meal was served hot. His goulash was a fairly small portion, especially for $25 USD equivalent, and was pretty bland. The lukewarm moussaka supposedly had eggplant and mushrooms in it but I tasted neither. All I tasted was lentils and nutmeg, which overpowered the dish. If you are looking for a hearty vegetarian meal full of flavor and reasonably priced, skip Nordvegan and head to Krishna’s Cuisine just a quick tram or metro ride away in the Majorstuen neighborhood.

Lasagna & cheesecake! - Edit
Lovely interior, kind staff, great bathroom. Ordered lasagna, great portion. Definitely good taste, if mild. And as constructive feedback I personally think it'd be even yummier if it was more flavourful and creamy. Had the cheesecake for dessert. Also good size, not too big that you become overly full. Good taste, and here as constructive feedback I personally think it'd be even tastier if there was a bit more chewing resistance. Otherwise airy and light 😊

Good and fresh food - Edit
Nice buffet style restaurant where you order at the counter and they make the food ready for you there. I had the Buddha Bowl which was fresh and good. Would be nice to have some more proteins, and it was quite expensive, but all in all a good choice.
