They served us dairy cheese and real fish! - Edit
We expressed that we were vegan and ordered only vegan dishes. However, it seems that there’s problem with their ordering system and kept serving us food that we didn’t order. They served us dairy cheese board while we ordered a vegan one. And they even served us a fish dish! Luckily we spotted the unusual look of the dishes and asked them to check with the kitchen. If we were not alert, we might have eaten cheese and fish! Also, the vegan dishes we ordered were seemingly overpriced. Won’t recommend this restaurant to vegans.

Choices for everyone - Edit
Orka is a good restaurant for vegans and non vegans alike. Menu is clearly marked for vegan and vegetarian options. The ambience was nice and I thought the tables were well separated so that you can have a quiet conversation. Price is on the higher side so I will save this place for special occasions or for their more affordable lunch sets.

Good range of vegan food - Edit
Went for weekend lunch. Smaller menu than weekday, focusing mainly on breakfast dishes, burgers and build your own salad/pita. Chose the salad, with heaps of options and not expensive ($88). Good size, loved the hummus on the side. Food took a while to come out, and the dressing was forgotten. I opted to add on vegan roast chicken, but it turned out to be a dense, processed, sausage-like substance that didn't resemble roast chicken at all (don't recommend it). Staff were great, nice venue, happy to come back.

Good, Can Be Great - Edit
Let’s start with the positives, of which there are many. Awesome location on Wyndham St, next to the New Punjab. Airy, light, roomy… dare I say skandi… interior- great for lunch. Friendly wait staff. AND great vegan food and drink options. (The “butter chicken” curry was amazing, and I loved my hibiscus iced tea.)
Read moreWhat’s not to love? Well, the kitchen is clearly still getting up to speed. It took far too long to get our food, and when we did get it, a couple dishes were wrong (tasty though!). I have confidence they’ll get it right, the restaurant is new and these are strange times.
I would also love to see meat taken off the menu. Orka’s vegan food is more than good enough to accommodate all tastes. I understand a restaurant would want to accommodate omnivores in tough economic times like these. However I hope meat is just a contingent that can be dropped when HK gets back to normal.

純素版韓式拌飯嘅主菜係醬油大樹菠蘿🍍,再加啲配菜去拌個紅米飯。大樹菠蘿味道比我想像中淡🎐,無乜醬油香,口感食得到一梳梳嘅纖維感,有少少水果嘅酸甜味🐿,我自己就麻麻地呢種味道口感,不過我覺得應該都係整得好嘅,因為有調味嘅同時保留到食材原本嘅特質🫶🏻。
配菜有菠菜、大豆芽、紅蘿蔔絲同一種叫蕨菜嘅物體🫣,蕨菜我地都無接觸過,望落有啲奇怪,好似蟲噉😂,口感係粉粉地。配菜味道正常,質感新鮮。隨飯有一碟仔韓式辣醬🌶,微酸鹹辣,有韓式感覺。整體配埋哂一齊就係一個正常嘅韓式拌飯,我哋都覺得唔係太過有吸引力。

健康韓式湯麵到底有幾健康呢,帶住呢個疑問我叫咗一個嚟試下😎。
湯底幾清,食到有少少胡椒嘅香味,鹹香帶甜唔過重,完全無油膩感🍃;麵偏腍,類似日本素麵嘅感覺🍜;配菜有香菇、白色鴻喜菇、豆腐、海帶同兩片連皮准山,每樣都煮得ok,口感啱,保留到應有味道得嚟配合夾得到,小蕉覺得呢個唔錯,幾啱胃口。不過都係唔錯,未去到好驚艷,所以望埋個價錢都係唔太得💸。

見到有個拖肥布甸蛋糕,好似幾唔錯,仲要係班蘭🦖。
肉女覺得上面白色一粒粒好似白色珍珠 (明嘅會明😀)(🍌:此人相當奇怪),其實嗰啲係椰汁波波🥥,應該係分子料理常用嘅海藻酸凝膠爆珠,咬爛佢就係充滿椰味嘅汁汁。不過除咗我哋本身唔好椰味,佢嘅椰味好似都真係有啲怪,一般🤨。除咗椰汁仲有芒汁波波🥭,芒汁個味好啲,而且酸酸地帶果香同個甜品幾夾又解膩。
主體係班蘭蛋糕同埋主主體拖肥醬。蛋糕班蘭味唔夠,得好少嘅班蘭味🤏🏻,質感亦都唔夠鬆軟同濕潤(不過純素甜品嘅限制,我都理解嘅),拖肥醬雖然可以平衡返個濕度不過都彌補唔到偏硬嘅問題👋🏻。
雖然食拖肥蛋糕都有心理準備預咗甜,不過佢嘅味道同層次都唔係好夠吸引,變咗偏膩太嘅甜😢。

好欣賞佢哋可以關注到唔同飲食人士嘅需要,有三份一至一半都係有純素選擇💚,而且見到有部份係 Gluten free 嘅選擇 ,好難得 👍🏻。
不過食物質素我哋就覺得一般,水準普普通通,未算高質🫠,而且份量偏細,環境舒服不過環境未去到真係好勁,未對得到呢個價錢定位🫡。

Lots of healthy vegan choices - Edit
I really like the idea of this place, focusing on wellness and healthy eating and living. The couple who are running it are very passionate about the concept and decided to launch in spite of the pandemic! For every dish, they offer a vegan and non-vegan option. It's really great to see this so prominently in an omni restaurant.

I visited on a weekend and tried several vegan dishes:
- Main: Butter Jack’s Chick (vegan) - jackfruit, tofu, cashew sauce and mixed rice. Highly recommend this one. The sauce was really creamy and delicious and nice to have different textures.
- Main: Smokey linguine with shiitake, fiddlehead, perilla - they told me their pasta is made freshly in-house, which is impressive. I thought the sauce could use more flavour.
- Dessert: Chocolate Tart - nice and creamy using good quality chocolate, lovely presentation
- Dessert: Mango pandan sticky toffee pudding - this is really a well executed dessert that looks and tastes like fine dining. The mango was in little balls that burst, it was sweet but not too sweet, and the pandan gave it richer flavour.
Price is steep so you are paying for quality and options in an omni restaurant. Suggest to go for lunch set if you want to try but want to save $$.

4 stars because I’m really happy to see restaurants open up with a focus on WFPB, and consciously sourcing ingredients - these business are lacking in Hong Kong.

Food still has room for improvement but it just opened so I’m sure it will with some feedback. I got the set lunch, which wasn’t too expensive but Unfortunately prices are generally high here (just the way it is in hk for high quality food) #Veganuary
