Crunchy bread and nice staff - Edit
I had to wait a couple of minutes because they were getting fresh bread which was very crunchy and good! I swapped the cheese for avocado and added spicy sauce and it was very tasty. I was in a hurry and they served me very quickly.

Really nice vegetable bahn mi with avocado and tofu for only 25k. That’s the only vegan option. Good and cheap! It’s a simple restaurant and the staff is not very welcoming, but it’s okay.

One vegeterian option, take out the cheese and add avocado to make it vegan. Delicious homemade spicy sauce and fresh vegetables. We came back twice and at only 25k for a banh mi you can't go wrong!

Lots of avo but not much else - Edit
This banh mi stall was situated right next door to our homestay and was open late, so we went there a couple of times just for ease. We sat on little plastic stools out the front of what seemed to be the owner’s house, and were even kept company by the adorable little kids who lived there who were excited to sit at the table with us.
Read moreThey offer one vegetarian option and understood immediately when we asked to make it vegan. It contained avocado which was quite unique, and they were very generous with the amount they added. I can’t believe I’m saying this but it was actually almost too much avocado and made the sandwich a bit sickly! Overall, it was a decent option but the flavour was a little bland, not containing enough herbs or spice for our taste.
Pros: Great for avocado lovers 🥑

Banh Mi stand with lots of options - Edit
There were various options here for vegetarians and a couple of options for vegans. I really enjoyed the option of adding avocado to my sandwich and the prices were fair considering the additions which are not usually available.

After seeing all the good reviews I went to the street but to the wrong banh mi stall 😅 called Banh Oi which is just a few meters away same price and also vegan option replaced with avo. So just look out for the reptile in front of the stall and you know you're at the correct location;)

Found this place cause I read a blog saying it was the best Banh Mi in Vietnam. Expectations were met. It was really tasty. Switched the cheese out for avocado and went with the chilli sauce option. Family owned, like having lunch in someone's living room amongst wedding photos and house pets (Massive iguana in a small tank! In case that makes you feel uncomfortable)

Super tasty Banh Mi packed full of stuff. Comes with lots of salad, super tasty chilli sauce, tofu and avocado! She knew what vegan was straight away, super quick service and tastes so good. Only down side is they have a VERY large pet reptile/lizard thing that is either sat on a pedi stool out the front of the shop or locked in a very small cage inside the shop. Just a heads up if that would make you feel uncomfortable!

Tofu, cheese, egg options with 5K extra for avocado. Tasty and cheap. Only complaint is we sat on the table next to the reptile who was trying to move about in his little cage and couldn’t even turn around. He got stuck for several minutes and then gave up. Made me sad 😔

The place looks very homey. Asked for the vegetarian banh without cheese and the owner immediately said he would put avocado instead, and said the word vegan, so he seemed to know veganism. Service was fast and food was cheap. The banh was very tasty

Nice banh mi for 25k each, well filled with big slices of tofu, fresh herbs, cucumber and avocado. Wish it had more of that yummy chilli sauce though, was a little dry. When we asked for the vegetarian option without cheese, the lady asked straight away if we wanted avocado instead and when she repeated the order to the guy cooking, said “banh mi vegan”, so they know their stuff. Didn’t charge us extra for avo either.

Best vegan banh mi I’ve had! Got mine a little spicy and it was perfect (and I’m not very good with spice). The vegetarian with no cheese add avocado is only 25 000 dong and so filling. Has tofu in it as well!

The owner was very pleasant and welcoming. He knew what exactly vegan was and replaced cheese with avocado of his vegetarian banh mi. Lots of fresh avocado! So good. I said yes to chili option and it gave a good spicyness but saltyness at the same time. Next time I would order without the chili.

Great vegan Banh mi - Edit
Had a really delicious banh mi - replaced the cheese with avocado to make it vegan. Crispy baguette and great tofu. The owner is very nice with a good sense of humour. They have an iguana named Danny who hangs out either in his cage next to the tables or on a pedestal out front.

After reading the reviews here I ordered the veggie banh mi with avocado instead of cheese, and it was so amazing! The banh mi is 25.000 and usually avocado is 5.000 extra, however I only had to pay 25.000.
