Favorite arepa place in SF - Edit
From the first time I lived in the city to the visits back after moving, PicaPica had been a staple where I have been enjoyed the Venezuelan flair of arepas and cachapas, with guasacaca and natural juices.

Don’t miss this - Edit
Every time I’m in the Bay Area, I must go to Pica Pica. There are two tasty arepas without meat or cheese. Plus sides. All gluten free. All delicious.

Great spot if you’re gluten-free - Edit
I really like this spot! It’s quick and they have a few wonderful vegan options. I’m a big fan of the black bean/plantain empanadas especially! My partner is a celiac, so it’s nice to have a place nearby that is 100% gluten free where we can eat out together.

Alright - Edit
I ordered the vegan plato and got it to go. I was disappointed by how much single use plastic was used and bummed at the portion size. The beans and rice were yummy as were the sweet plantains but the salad was pretty much just lettuce and tomatoes and was very wet (liquid pooled at the bottom). For $20, I was hoping for a larger portion of beans and rice! They included 3 different sauces but I would have preferred to just pick 1 because I didn’t like 2 of them and again, not a fan of single use plastic. In a city like SF, it’s not unreasonable to hope for a compostable meal box/utensils.

Cons: To go meal= heavy on single use plastic , Salad was basically tomatoes and wet lettuce

Delicious, filling, and a wonderful menu with well labeled options. - Edit
Loved the straight forward menu, which leans heavily vegetarian and is easy to make vegan. Everything is gluten free. Delicious arepas, out of this world plantains. The tofu is divine.
