Great quick breakfast for on the go!

I’m a tourist and I know Seattle is overall vegan friendly, but I’m still so grateful for all the options this cafe has! A vegan almond croissant!? This is so rare to find. I enjoyed that with a vegan breakfays sandwhich and got the PBJ for lunch to have on a hike later. came back the next day for blueberry smoothie with vegan protein and hashbrowns!

Pastries disappoint, sweet bowls okay

I used to go to this cafe somewhat regularly for sweets. My favorites were the almond croissant, tiramisu bowl, strawberry shortcake bowl, and macarons. They also sold small homemade dubai bars, which I tried once. I have also purchased hot matcha and coffee lattes from them. To clarify, all of these are plant-based. The business is family-owned and the staff is friendly, which I appreciate. They also have a very casual, but comfortable seating area, with local art on the walls and a piano that anyone can play if they are inclined to do so.

My disappointment in them is for two reasons, the first comes from the change in the almond croissants over the past year. I understand costs of many things have gone up, but the croissants are half the size they used to be and sometimes very dark or nearly burnt on the bottom, and barely any almond filling in the middle. I'm not willing to spend $6.50 on a half-burnt almond croissant with barely any almond filling. I also thought the macarons had a good texture, however no one can ever provide what flavors they are (nor mention of allergens), so it's a bit maddening to guess what flavors and then have a peppermint macaron clash with the others, and the worst is one macaron ended up having peanuts in it and I'm allergic, so I won't buy their macarons either.

If you're interested in the bowls, smoothies, or sandwiches, it might still be worth swinging by, but I'm looking for sweets, so I don't see much reason to go back at this point. Also be forewarned that the business offers plant-based options, but they do offer meat/cheese as well.

Pros: Friendly, Nice vibe

Cons: Decline in pastry quality, Unknowledgeable staff
