i had the white beans with pita and it wasn’t hugely flavourful and took a long time to come after i ordered it even though the restaurant wasn’t full

Laidback place with original dishes - Edit
This lunchroom is cosy and has nice staff, although the service can be slow during busy hours. In the early morning, it tends to be more quiet.
Read moreSome nice foods I’ve had, were pumpkin bun (by Lavett) with white & red bean tempeh/oyster mushrooms, pita with white bean dip, buckwheat pancakes, ‘griesmeelpudding’, brioche (with seasonal toppings), brioche bun, Lavett cinnamon roll and fruit/nut pie.
I used to love their nut brownie, but they changed it. Some of their pastries lack flavour, e.g. carrot cake and banana bread.

Veggie restaurant with sufficient vegan options. I went for the maahed beans woth salsa verde and it was DELICIOUS! Ended with the nuts bar with vegan chocolate, also lovely.

Rabarber quickly turned into one of my favorite lunch places in Utrecht! The dishes are inventive and super tasty, on the current menu I can really recommend the brioche and pilaf dish! All other vegan options are really tasty as well, but these two are worth a special mention!

An amazing place for delicious and very original lunch options. The place is cosy and warmingly welcoming, although the acoustic is not the best as the place tend to be quite noisy.
Read moreAfter long hesitation in front of all the delicious items of the menu, my friend went for a vegan Pita with walnut lentil spread, cauliflower and marinated carrots and I opted for the black-eyed bean soup with leak, wild spinach and celery and sourdough with vegan miso butter. Really was delicious from A to Z.

Ik las hier een review over dat ze hier echt kiezen voor liefde voor voedsel ipv voor geld verdienen en dat beaam ik. Het personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk, zacht en niet opdringerig. De vegan opties zijn experimenteel, maar ik heb zo enorm genoten van alle smaaksensaties. De koffie was lekker. De vegan brownie omg omg omg. Echt heel fijn om hier even te kunnen ontspannen en lunchen! Oh ja en ik las dat iemand zei dat de porties klein waren, die van mij was groot!

Heavenly vegan brownies and great quality decaf & regular coffee - Edit
We came here for an oat cappuccino but could not resist their mouth-drooling looking brownies made with oats, dates, nuts and Cabellaut dark chocolate (4 euros a piece). Absolutely delicious!

Definitely recommend anyone to come here for a nice cup of coffee and a sweet treat!

We had a nice lunch. We had different dishes and both were cooked to perfection with interesting delicate flavours. They arent fully plantbased but had several options. Protions werent overly big but we felt both satiaded until dinner.

I was at Rabarber on a Friday and was surprised to find the place pretty full. You may want to get in before the lunch crowd does.
Read moreMy friend had pancakes and I had a pita roll with smoked aubergine. The food was really good with interesting flavours, but for the price I was expecting, well, more food. I paid 8,50 for a pita that left me hungry after an hour or so.
All in all a nice place, but more for a light lunch.
