Nice little café with daily lunch specials - Edit
We called into Rais for lunch when visiting Aveiro. It was pretty busy - which is always a good sign - so we ended up grabbing an outdoor table even though it was a bit chilly! The reception from the friendly staff was, however, much warmer!
Read moreWe both decided to go for the daily lunch special of black bean stew served with brown rice & fried bananas, which was much nicer than it may sound! There's a different lunch special every day & they all sounded good! They also serve burgers, quiche & salads.

Almost hidden in a tight street this place was a great surprise. The person serving that night (a young woman) was super friendly and helpful. The Miso soup was exactly what I needed that night and the seitan was delicious!

Wir waren zum Brunch hier. Das Essen hat leider sehr lange gedauert. Das Avocado Brot war sehr lecker, die Panecakes haben uns geschmacklich nicht ganz überzeugt. Dafür hat der Preis absolut gestimmt. Ich hatte einen Café Latte, das Avocado Brot und die Raiz Pancakes für 11,60€.

As entradas foram boas o café bio tambem. Atendimento rápido e simpático mas a relação qualidade/preço não me parecr razoável. O bolo completamente sem sabor fiquei tão desiludida pois o aspecto era divino. O Hambúrguer de tofu era saboroso mas muito oleoso.

A Gem in Aveiro! - Edit
The food is delicious and the service was quick and friendly. We had the beet soup of the day and sweet and sour tofu and the azousi bean burger with sweet potato fries. We were not a fan of the daily tea or the baba de Camelo which came with the meal of the day.

Restaurante pequeno e muito agradável, pedi o menu com sopa e prato do dia que era feijoada brasileira e sopa de abóbora, ainda vem uma salada de acompanhamento. Tudo muito saboroso, não consegui pedir a sobremesa porque fiquei muito satisfeita com o almoço, vale retornar depois para experimentar. Eles também servem pequeno almoço pela manhã e snacks a tarde e a noite.

The food was Ok. We came during lunchtime but the meal of the day was not ready. We ordered soup and two different hamburgers. It took 45 minutes to get our Lunch.
